All cans of cat food don't list not even on factory's web page the actual percentage of sodium ....this is because it's not just sodium it's a dry matter type product with many things mixed to get her. Ultimately all you will ever find is a percentage of just ( Dry Matter Percentage) I visited many websites from the brand to the factory and the most accurate is from the actual factory's them selves.

What is the average calorie content.of a can from Friskies variety pack of Shreds and some pates? My cat's vet has asked me to find out.

The Savory Shreds Turkey & Cheese Dinner contains 134 Calories per can, the Savory Sheds with Beef contains 135 Calories per can, the Savory Shreds Chicken & Salmon Dinner contains 127 Calories per can, and the Savory Shreds with Ocean Whitefish & Tuna contains 135 Calories per can.

I noticed this kind of canned food says "meat by product." What exactly is the "meat?"

The meat by-products will be derived from organs and other parts of the animal. The meat will be derived from the same protein source as the one in the recipe.

After living in my home for 50 yrs it burnt to the ground on December 15th. I had received my order from chewy the previous week and quick to get the order out. I called chewy and advised what had happened and I was just about immediately sent to a supervisor that could help me. He replaced the cat food I lost plus litter box and litter. This is why I’m a repeat monthly customer. Always, always great staff and customer service is #1 to me. I am sorry to say that I lost 3 cats. But I’m praying that smoke got to them before any of the fire did. I keep food out praying they got out, but it’s been 2 weeks. My other cats are still scared. Very thankful I didn’t get hurt. I tried putting out the fire from my water hose, but it was 22 degrees that morning and water was froze. Chewy will always get a 5 star review from me. Thank you so much Chewy for replacing my babies food!!!

BEWARE OF DANGEROUS BONE FRAGMENTS, SHREDS BEEF ON GRAVY

My cats hate trying to eat the PURINA “Shreds” products regardless of flavor, so I cut them up with a scissors into tiny pieces. With the scissors, I encounter horrible

My cats hate trying to eat the PURINA “Shreds” products regardless of flavor, so I cut them up with a scissors into tiny pieces. With the scissors, I encounter horrible and scary extremely sharp/jagged bone fragments in every can of PURINA Shreds With Beef In Gravy (please refer to attached photos). They cannot be seen or felt, but the scissors hits them and “stops dead”; grasping the fragment I rinse off the scissors at the kitchen sink for examination. They appear to be the exact type that would be prone to lodging in a cats digestive tract!! This is nothing new, I have talked to PURINA about my concern very long ago, but if anything, the fragments are becoming worse!!! Open till recently I have not encountered them and other “Shreds” flavors, but recently tiny fragments are being encountered in their other flavors. I have been told the manufacturing process involves the ENTIRE animal being thrown into a grinder/pulverizer, “hook-line-and-sinker”, EVERYTHING! Surprising that in then the beef product there is also poultry, fish, “by-products”, and God knows what else! I am not trying to attack PURINA, the manufacturer, but felt it important to bring this situation to the attention of other buyers. It is with only great reluctance that I feed the “shreds“ product to my cats, or ANY cat for that matter.!

There is plenty of food in each can and I can stretch one can over 2 feedings (mixed with their dry food). The food is easy to digest and has not caused them any digestive discomfort. The cans open smoothly and are a great value for quality cat food. Purina is a brand I have used and trusted for over 30-years. Six of the cans arrived dented, not from shipping, because the metal material is thin. Otherwise, this is a 5-star product.

Not just with cat food I have had other orders damaged on delivery a few times. Either your warehouse people don’t care how they treat your products or fed ex doesn’t but it’s not acceptable. I’d rather go to the local store and get it myself and pay a little more to ensure what I’m providing my pets is not damaged. Do better chewy.com

Fed Ex dropped the boxes (3) at the end of my ramp to the front door. The problem is that the boxes were quite heavy and I am 79 years old. The weather was not sunny that day. Good excuse? Not for me! The other problem is that many of the cans of cat food are dented, I assume, because they get thrown around by employees. I have spoken to one of your representatives and he said that the only thing he could do is give me credit for the ones that I couldn’t use.
