I recently purchased the FRISKIES Party Mix Natural Yums with Real Tuna cat treats, and my cats absolutely love them. One of my favorite features is the twist-off, resealable top. It is easy to open, closes securely, and keeps the treats fresh every time. As soon as I twist the lid, my cats come running, so the freshness really matters. The treats are bite-sized with a crunchy texture, which makes them easy for my cats to enjoy. The tuna flavor is clearly appealing because they finish them quickly and always want more. The 6-oz bag is a convenient size and lasts a reasonable amount of time. I was at the grocery store staring at the treats in the cat aisle when another shopper reached and picked up these treats so I asked her if her cat really liked them (I shop at a grocery store where customers usually have conversations with complete strangers about items they see others buying :) The other shopper said her cat really likes them so I bought 1 package to see what would happen. I keep some in a small jar near her favorite place to sit or sleep and she cat sits on the end table and begs for these treats! Added them to my Autoship..
Not made with 'safe' tuna.
My cats get treats almost every night, usually dry, crunchy treats. They're pretty picky, but I was sure they'd love these Friskies Natural Yums Party Mix treats
My cats get treats almost every night, usually dry, crunchy treats. They're pretty picky, but I was sure they'd love these Friskies Natural Yums Party Mix treats. These treats are large pieces of kibble in 3 different shapes. I think the individual pieces are quite large. My girls pick at them when I offer them this Party Mix, but they don't seem to find it particularly tasty. However, I also feed a neighborhood stray, and she DEFINITELY loves this stuff! When I offer these alongside two other kinds of treats, she repeatedly chooses this stuff first. These treats are made wild-caught tuna, which is good, but they are not made with LINE-CAUGHT tuna, which is the ONLY tuna fishing method that is safe for dolphins, turtles, sharks, and other ocean animals. As an industry leader, I wish Friskies would show a little more concern for the well-being of marine mammals and other animals and make a public commitment to only use tuna that was caught by pole and line fishing. I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own (and my cats').

Sort of a hit for two cats

I have one indoor senior lady of the house (like me), a sweet, precious little outdoor guy appreciative of everything he’s gotten here since he showed up at the right door last year (he’s in cat heaven now!) and his best friend across the street. I got treats for one and all and the verdict is: Bailey (indoors geriatric lady of the house) says a flat “no.” Doesn’t care for the texture, unsure about the taste. BJ, my sweet little guy, and he is a smaller built cat, he loves anything and everything. But these treats are big and they’re hard. He takes his time crunching down on these. Whiskers, his BFFF from across the street literally swipes on my door for these. I hear his paws ‘zwwwtt, zwwwtt, zwwwtt’ til I get to the door. If he’s in front of his house or on the sidewalk close by he’ll come running when he hears the treats rattling in the jug. He sits up, picks the hand they’re in. But, I don’t hear him crunching at all. He inhales these things! Literally sucked them down whole! Hardness? I don’t know. He loves them but they do go down whole - fast. I think these are good for cats who like hard treats, but these are just too hard and I’m switching to something else for my autoship. I don’t think it’s worth one cat who won’t eat, one who has to take time crunching with his little mouth, and one who inhales these whole. Not for our house, sorry! I wouldn’t say no to them as they evidently do have appeal to two out of three of the kiddos.

These are often out of stock in most places at which they are carried, and as the Friskies "natural" line are the favored treats of many cats, it is great to be able to order them here. My cat is an elderly rescue cat who was clearly pampered earlier in life (as she is now <g>). She is a very finicky eater and that includes treats. She prefers these treats to fresh cooked chicken or fish! I can only hope that they are more beneficial than not, and try to keep her to the recommended number of treats per day. She is fed the Nutro soft loaf line of products (also obtainable here), often augmented with freshly cooked chicken, which she consistently will eat (though only sometimes shows enthusiasm for when eating). I often get the feeling that *I* am being trained to deliver her preferences. This is one of the hallmarks of a settled, happy cat. ;-)
