NOT just for dogs !

My one cat Hannibal is totally obsessed with these Puzzle Toys ... Great entertainment and gives me a few moments to myself to get some work done when he's busy with his puzzle toys ! My other cat Clarice ... what ! ? ! you seriously want me to work for my treats/food ... fat chance lol ... other then picking up any stragglers left by Hannibal ... He has many puzzle toys and now added this super cute Watermelon to his collection ... It is extremely well made and easy to use by both cats/dogs

Challenging!

I foster service dogs in training and none of them have been able to fully solve this puzzle. However, one very persistent dog managed to pull it apart. It’s not

I foster service dogs in training and none of them have been able to fully solve this puzzle. However, one very persistent dog managed to pull it apart. It’s not broken, but I can’t get the piece back into its place. It definitely makes the puzzle much easier, but also other parts will come out now that this one is out and I don’t want them getting chewed/eaten. If there’s a way to put it back together, I hope someone will tell me how.

Item is cute but scratches super easily. My 7 lb senior chihuahua mix did the puzzle for the first time today. After one 20 minute session, it already has visible scratches in the watermelon pattern. She is groomed regularly so her nails are not crazy, and she's not rough with anything given her demeanor and senior status. I don't think it will last long before I won't feel comfortable with her eating out of it for fear she will ingest something she shouldn't. Additionally dog owners of larger dogs who might want to use it as slow feeder should be aware that the wells are very small so larger kibble sizes might not fit well or may hinder the mechanisms. It's cute, the feet are good at keeping the puzzle stationary for a dog her size, and the mechanisms are challenging but possible to complete so for me that warranted 3 stars. I think there are more durable options for the price.

Came a little broken but still functional

One of the capsule doors came a bit broken but still usable! For safety, I removed the whole piece that was broken so my dog would not accidentally bite it off/swallow

One of the capsule doors came a bit broken but still usable! For safety, I removed the whole piece that was broken so my dog would not accidentally bite it off/swallow it. The puzzle works great and he enjoys using it for enrichment! In photo listed below, small hinge part was what was broken making that door come loose and easy to snap off. Other than that product works great!

decent, but more physically difficult than mental

Both my dog and my rats enjoy this puzzle(be careful if you use it with small animals—just like any other dog puzzle, it’s not made for them so you have to keep

Both my dog and my rats enjoy this puzzle(be careful if you use it with small animals—just like any other dog puzzle, it’s not made for them so you have to keep close watch so they don’t pinch their tiny paws—but they love flipping over the compartments and solving the puzzles.) I took off a star because the circular part on top is *really* hard to move, as it’s too tight. It’s basically stuck in place until you shove it over yourself. I don’t expect the rats to be able to move it of course, but my dog is a ~50lb border collie who’s had plenty of similar puzzles with no issue and even he can’t slide the circular part. I was gonna give it 3 stars but I’m not sure if it’s just an issue with the one I got or if that’s how it’s supposed to be. Figured I’d give it benefit of the doubt and assume it’s just mine and if so, then it’s a solid 4 stars. I’ll give it a couple more tries but I’ll probably end up giving it away because it’s just frustrating for the dog since he knows what he’s supposed to do but he can’t physically do it.

My dogs are geniuses

I have a 4 year old boxer/golden doodle mix and a 5 month old aussie/lab mix who figured this toy out in under 5 minutes. The third layer where the opening had

I have a 4 year old boxer/golden doodle mix and a 5 month old aussie/lab mix who figured this toy out in under 5 minutes. The third layer where the opening had to align with the tabs was a little more challenging, causing them to take a total of about 10 minutes to empty it the first time. The second time it was about 7 minutes. I am still searching for one that keeps them challenged longer. The toy is very cute and operates smoothly, but I make sure to pick it up immediately because some of the plastic pieces are not very thick and definitely won't hold up to any chewing. To be fair, it does say not for puppies on the label and that it is not intended to be chewed on.
