Frisco Training Leash, Black, 30-ft

I have a 35lb, slightly reactive, insanely fast cattle dog that I recently adopted. We've been working on some outside behaviors so I bought this lead. For his weight, the thickness is good but I would not trust using it on a speed demon puller over 50 lb and I definitely don't recommend using this as a tie out like I've seen it a review. The biggest issue is the nylon burn it can leave you. I bought the 50ft so I could start with a closer recall like 10 ft and work our way further out. You need a decent thickness glove to do that with this lead. The nylon edge is brutal and will definitely rip through the skin on your hands. It would be good for non-pullers and you don't plan on holding anything but the handle.

Did the trick right away -- Beans had been grabbing the leash with his mouth and with one bite on this one, that ended! After a few days we re-introduced a couple of other leashes (in particular the retractable) and he only tried biting it a few times. He'd learned that it wasn't a great idea. Very thankful we found this leash!

Both my dogs love to run ahead on the trails ! These are long enough to give them that sense of freedom while still adhering to the parks leash rule. Easy to shorten by looping around each arm and sturdy enough to use with their harnesses and guide them away from other dogs when they are in *that* mood.

My husband and I have a German Shepherd dog. She is pretty big but we do not have a fenced in backyard. We use this lead along with another one to tether her to the porch and allow her to run the length of our yard. This product has lasted through rain through snow through heat. It’s been a wonderful lead it’s strong it and hasn’t frayed. The lock clip does not freeze in the winter time and has not rested through the rain. It is really long, but not too long that she gets tangled up on all the trees far far away. I really like the fact that this lead is easy to also clean off because it does get muddy in the backyard, but it doesn’t need to go into the washing machine. A simple spray from the hose is fine. It feels more like nylon than it does anything else which I think is what helps keep it from fraying and breaking we’ve had leads that have broken before from being frayed, and this one seems to be holding up very well. I’m hoping to actually get a second one for the front yard. Our German Shepherd is about 60 pounds, so it holds quite a lot of weight. I would definitely recommend this lead. It seems safe and reliable and seems to hold up and the quality.
