Frisco Coastal Squid Plush Kicker Cat Toy with Silvervine & Catnip

My cats absolutely went coocoo over the Frisco Coastal Squid toy. I didn’t even get a chance to take proper “before” photos! LuLuBelle the Thief stole the toy out of the opened box and ran off with it! We found the kittehs acting like a pair of furry pirates examining their ill-gotten treasure. The toy is perfect for kick-and-rake play. It is about 7 inches long in body with 5 more inches in tentacles. They grab it, bunny-kick it, flip it, and go right back for more. The tentacles seem to be the big attraction: Lulu in particular loves to flop down with her face buried in them like she’s communing with the squid. It’s become her new favorite lounging buddy. Jake is really into savage play with this orange fella. Let's talk about Silvervine: This herb is like a turbo-version of catnip, and it seems to affect more cats than catnip. My crew doesn't really get into catnip, but Silvervine makes them go Bonkers! More intense play, zoomerangs, then the rake and kick with associated drooling, then the resting bliss afterglow. Make sure you have enough for all cats, they can get selfish ownership of these toys sometimes. The design is surprisingly funny too. The squid’s expression is this goofy, slightly fake-alarmed look that cracks me up every time I see it sticking out from under a cat belly or peeking out of the cat bed. Durability: So far so good, it’s holding up well to some pretty aggressive kicking and chewing. Engagement: Both cats will come back to it throughout the day. I have to hide it at night or else they will get hopped up and wale us up. LOL Bonus: It’s lightweight enough for them to flip it up into the air for Flying Squid capers, we need no stinken' flying monkees . . . Bottom line: If your cats love kicker toys, tentacles, or just being little chaos units, this Frisco Squid LOL Frisco Squid! Pounds like the old song or TV show. Anyways a winner in the cat toy bowl! My two give it a very enthusiastic all paws up. I give it 5-Stars. I hope Frisco comes out with another bright color Squid soon!

Both of my kittens love the crinkle squid! This toy is great because it’s large enough for them to grab with their back legs to kick and roll around with. Most toys they are able to rip the feather(s) off of immediately, but the feather is still holding on after several days of play. The body of the squid is plush, soft, and lightweight so they can bat it into the air. The legs of the squid make a crinkle noise to attract them to play. The texture is great for biting. It’s big enough that they can both play with it together but have fun playing individually as well.
