Frisco Flamingo with Feathers Plush Kicker Cat Toy with Silvervine & Catnip

We have six black and white tuxedo kitties, ranging from eight months to sixteen years old. Four of the six are big fans of kicker toys. The Summer Flamingo checks all the boxes for a great kicker. It's a great size for the younger and older ones alike. The wings make crinkle sounds and there is a jingly bell so they were quickly attracted. Feathers are always a plus. One of our little ones took to the feathers immediately and has gone back several times since. He can be pretty hard on feather toys and pulls them out on a regular basis. The feathers on this toy have all stayed attached over the course of several days. Each of our kitties has their own favorite types of toys, but all six of them have given the flamingo some attention.....from some sniffs to kicking and rolling around sessions. This one is a winner at our house and I'll be ordering a few more to save for down the road.

I just purchased this toy recently. I was surprised and a little disappointed how large it was, but very nicely made and the cats seemed to like it. It has a rattle inside and the wings are crinkly. I have five indoor only cats and made the mistake of putting it out in their room where they are relatively unsupervised. Last night I discovered the feathers were all chewed off except for an inch. I looked around and found some that were thrown up but couldn’t find any more. I called an emergency vet for advice and the doctor told me to keep an eye on them and watch for signs of vomiting, lethargy, or not eating. None of the cats seemed in distress but I narrowed it down to the cat I thought did it but couldn’t be sure. This morning I was happy to find more feathers that were thrown up and keeping my fingers crossed that was all the feathers. If you buy this toy I’d advise to cut the feathers off. It’s still very nice without the feathers.
