Broken top

My cat was very interested in the toys but I'm not sure if the item I got was faulty and the top toy thing doesn't attach to the top of the scratcher. The instructions

My cat was very interested in the toys but I'm not sure if the item I got was faulty and the top toy thing doesn't attach to the top of the scratcher. The instructions said "screw on" but there's no screws just two tiny plastic lips one of which was already broken. So it sort of set on the top at first but then the toys fell off the first time the cat tried to play with them. I'm giving this three stars anyway because my kitten loves the cardboard scratcher, post, and ball toys and uses this all the time.

He’s been playing with it nonstop since I put it down, and things don’t usually hold his attention very long. I love all the different features it has for him to enjoy. Right now he is fixated on the rattle balls and the ghost, but I’m hoping he’ll use the scratching post as well. He’s also started chewing on the cardboard, so not sure how long that will hold up. The Halloween theme is so cute! Halloween is like Christmas for my animals because mommy likes all the spooky stuff for them lol. Definitely a good choice, I’m glad I got this one. Thanks Chewy!
