My first two cats are obsessed with these Frisco ball-track toys. They play with them ALL THE TIME, even ~5 years later. These are by far the best of all the similar brands in terms of the balls rolling really smoothly and fast around the tracks, and usually the cheapest by a mile, too! The balls are a little more difficult to pull out than some other ball tracks toys, but keep an eye out for them and pop them back in if your cat figures out how to extract them. My cats don't really care one way or the other for the wire toys, but it's nice that they're all interchangeable. The female likes to flip them upside-down and shove them all over the house, though, which I solved by starting to build them into my handmade cat scratching posts. Now they can play with them and not clatter around the house with them. :) I used this bee & leaf, fall, and magic colors for my first attempt at a "jungle gym" multi-post for my cats, and have made and donated something like 50 single-post scratching posts to the shelters around my area with these toys in every color! Having assembled 60+ of them, they're usually pretty easy. Just check the instructions for which piece goes where, and make sure the little tabs line up. I've never had one break (even with a LOT of force applied to get them into place) and never had one pop apart once assembled.

Big hit with my playful kitty

I got this toy mostly because I thought the bee and leaf were cute, but it has turned out to be my cat's favorite toy. She seriously plays with it every single day, often several times throughout the day. I have to say I'm shocked by that because she normally has a very short attention span for toys - she loves them intensely for a little while and then never looks at them again. But this one has kept her attention for months. She seems more or less indifferent to the cute dangling bit - I could probably take it off completely and she wouldn't notice. But she absolutely loves to bat the little balls back and forth on the track. I recommend this toy to my other friends with cats.

After reading the reviews here, I thought I'd get this for our little guy who seems a little sad recently. The vet says he's fine, healthwise, though we might want to watch his treat uptake. So until he can tolerate a harness and go walking with us, inside activities will have to do. The toy arrived assembled, aside from placing the enclosed ping ping-ish balls in the tracks. Has little grippie things on the bottom to help keep it from sliding during play. Our 4-ish year old boy, The Bug, walked over to it, crouched down and just looked at it for a few minutes, so we pushed the balls around a couple times to introduce the two, and he started to play. I don't "get" the fun of it but he does, and that's all that counts. I hear him playing during the day while I'm doing something else, or after we've gone to bed and the house is quiet, and I just smile and thank the heavens. And whoever invented this toy. Ordering a backup now, you never know what can happen to toys when the granddog visits...

I have a former semi-feral cat still learning to enjoy human interaction. She prefers playing by herself for now, and this toy is perfect for that purpose. To change it up I sometimes put her favorite felt ball toys or banana catnip soft toy on top so she “accidentally” paws them, as well as her kibble/treats or little spring toys in the lower tracks so she has to get them out of the way before pawing the provided pingpong balls. Every little addition makes it like a new toy.

Now she sits on top of it and conducts the balls like trains on tracks. She bats and bats at them and they keep returning to her. It's endless fun. That's until she falls asleep. I would buy it again if she broke it. It's important to her play routine. She's learning how things work. She hasn't outgrown it yet. It gets used a lot.

But she has quite the entitlement attitude and wants a new toy everyday and got bored with this quick. So if you have a cat with similar attitude don't expect their interest to last a long time. I will actually probably put this up for a month or two and then bring it back and see if it feels like a new toy to her.

This was Hunter's third birthday present. He is an FIV+ Egyptian Mau rescue. We nearly lost him last Christmas ... he had several urinary tract blockages resulting in surgery and he then had to have perineal urethrostomy. His surgeries were over $15,000, but fortunately, we could afford it (one time!) and we couldn't let him die without giving him a chance. He is the sweetest, most loving cat ... and he's a BIG, cuddly boy; he loves to kiss and snuggle. He absolutely loves batting the balls around the tracks.
