Approximately how many cups are in each bag?

Each bag is 1 pound. There are 16oz in a pound. 1 cup is 8 oz, so there are 2 cups in each bag A 40# dog need 1 3/4 cup two times a day. One bag won't even last one day.

The product description says 1lb bag but all the pictures say 2lb. Is the product that is shipped actually 1lb?

Is it 6 bags of food that equal out to one pound of dog food? Or is it 6 one pound bags of dog food?

Chewy will ship the product frozen to keep it fresh. We recommend serving Freshpet food fresh from the fridge, but you can choose to freeze any unused portions for later use. Just thaw frozen portions in the fridge before serving. Be aware that you may see a slight change in color and texture when thawed, but this won’t change the nutritional value or taste of the meals.

My two furbabies have been gobbling this homestyle food up! I’m thoroughly impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients. You can see the pieces of beef, egg, carrots and it smells really good! I was also impressed with the shipping materials as it arrived with dry ice and individual packages were still frozen. This made it very easy for me to keep one out in the refrigerator and freeze the rest until needing to use. I’ve been using this as a supplement and a bag will last my two dogs for 5 separate feedings.
