Formula change mid-2023? NOT a dust issue that’s fine - but does NOT cover urine smell after a few days!?!? Was the perfect unscented clumping litter for 10 days — until a month ago!? Did my cat change, or??

Just a suggestion, don’t wait 10 days (or really “a few”) to scoop Kitty’s pee…once a day and Urine smell is gone

Lately it seems this litter is more dusty than it previously was. Additionally, it seems heavier than it was after a week and heavier to sift. Has the formula changed?

Not dust free! I bought 2 boxes in December and this is the worst litter ever! Had to throw most of it out! I have used Fresh Step for years! What is going on here?

This is not fragrance free. What is the strong smell?

This Simply Unscented eliminates odors without added fragrance. It contains activated charcoal and plant extracts.

I have used this litter for over 5 year since my cat was a kitten and up until recently it was great. I noticed the packaging changed, but the formula must've also changed recently because it is very, very dusty now. When I poured it into my cat's litter box for the first time, I was alarmed about the cloud of dust and overwhelming scent that was not there before. However since I had already purchased it, I was planning to use it until my next order. As many cat parents know they are very particular, and my cat made it known he did not like the formula change either. He was refusing to use the litter box and was having accidents outside his box. As a result, we had to switch to another, less dusty option (Arm & Hammer Litter Cloud Control). It is disappointing as the litter was previously a fine unscented/low dust option. I typically do not leave reviews, but I felt this warranted one in hopes of warning others before they purchase.

Now it says “SIMPLY” on it and is supposed to be UNSCENTED and my cat and my whole house smell like the fragrance they put in this litter. It is also dusty and I feel like I am breathing it in 24-7. What happened to the old product?? I canceled my Autoship because I cannot tolerate the issues I have with this new substitute product.

there are very few unscented cat litter options available and I am very allergic to most perfumes so I appreciate this product and I have been using it since 2020. This is the most inexpensive offer. HOWEVER..the value has decreased quite a bit. The cost is the same but amount offered has decreased. I used to get 42 lbs for the same price they now offer is for 38 lbs. The delivery options is great.

I ordered this type of litter for years. Recently, they just changed the logo and obviously the formula contents of the litter. It is now super dusty. The high dust makes my Maine Coon Boris’ eyes irritated. There’s no way we can use this stuff anymore. Plus, they used to sell it in a package of four that was easy to manage the weight, and it was affordable. Now you have to order the bigger box with a high price per pound. What a disappointment.

The cats are tracking it everywhere as they are no longer covering their poo. I assume from the level of dust. I've never had a problem until the formula changed. I will be searching for a new product. Size of packaging has decreased and cost has increased. Fresh Step, you need to do better.

This UNSCENTED litter is exactly what you want. Low dust, no scent, clumps very hard and has a sand like texture my cats prefer. We used this against Tidy Cats Free & Clear. This one is cleaner as it clumps harder. So you don't get those tiny chunks of soiled litter that are too small for the scoop. The price point cant be beat. It does NOT offer immediate control for poops....but once buried it'll get the job done. I have 2 cats and scoop daily. We're very pleased

I have had this on autoship for years. I thought I was going crazy when I used the latest box -- the litter had a VERY STRONG scent despite being labelled as unscented. I re-read the box multiple times to make sure I was using the correct product. It was also incredibly dusty, and not only did I have a coughing fit, but I could smell the litter on the clothes (I was in a totally different room). Now, when my cat jumps on my bed, all I can smell is the litter on her. I'll need to order something new right away to replace it, I just can't stand it. Probably Dr. Elsey's -- which was fine in the past, but I felt like Fresh Step was better at clumping. Now I don't care -- I just want my house (and cat) to stop smelling like dusty, scented cat litter.

Our cat likes to get in the litter box right after they see us putting some in. I literally have to keep her out of the room for at least 5 minutes for all the dust to settle and I'm sure it kicks back up after she goes and tries to cover it up as kitties do. Absolutely horrible product that should be taken off the market.

I've been using this brand for a long time but I'm not happy with it since they changed to the new 14 pound boxes. It's supposed to be unscented but the scent is way stronger than it used to be. All of a sudden my cats are sneezing like crazy and when they climb in my lap after using the litter box I can smell the scent on them. This never used to happen. I'm not sure this is what's causing them to sneeze but I'm going to try a different litter and see if the sneezing stops.
