About This Item

Details

  • A staple of many reptiles’ diets, crickets offer an excellent source of protein, fiber, and fat.
  • Transit can cause crickets stress, and it’s normal to see some loss—that’s why Fluker’s includes 10% extra crickets with every purchase quantity.
  • These crickets are gut-loaded with Fluker’s Insect Care essentials to ensure optimal nutrition and hydration.
  • Crickets are great for bearded dragons, geckos, aquatic turtles, frogs, and more; just be sure to order the correct size—feeder insects should never be wider than the width between your pet’s eyes.
  • With proper nutrition and care, small and medium crickets can live 2–3 weeks, while large crickets can live 7–10 days.

Bought 250 Live crickets upon arrival all were dead. It makes sense because no insulation or heating was used. They didn’t have food or water. No precautions seemed to be taken to ensure the crickets would arrive alive in the Midwest in December. Do Not waste your money or time. All chewy did was reimburse and give a generic oh sorry. No explanation for why a pet food shipping company is so poor at shipping live food. No statement on how they plan to improve just an oh sorry here’s your money back. It’s horrible of them I do not recommend.

I just now received my order I’m upset!! It took a crazy amount of time to get here !! Everything else arrived with in days it really confusing as to why it took so long? I ordered 250 crickets I opened box very carefully first one had no crickets second one had 1 or two the 3rd one nothing and 4th on nun. After I removed everything at the very bottom of the box all crickets were dead !! From beginning to end all dead !! I don’t know why you don’t put 2 orange squares in there so when this happens they get food water and vitamins all in that square!! which I read reviews cause it was taking to long and everyone had the same problem not good !! They are a living insect and we pay to get are crickets delivered a live not dead and believe me that was not 250 crickets !!!! Start putting the orange cubes in there so when this happens they will get to me and each customer safe and alive !! I’m so not going to wait this long again refund me or give me credit for the amount of the crickets please !!

Though the crickets had enough spacers so that they wouldn't suffocate each other, and the package had ventilation, all of them were laying at the bottom of the package dead upon arrival. The package was delayed for two days. If it would have arrived on the originally scheduled day, some probably would have survived but with the cold northeast Temps we have had, they had no chance without a heat source. Maybe I'll try again when temperatures are more moderate.

I woke up early in the morning to get my crickets and every single one was dead. it had been no more then 5 minutes since the package arrived before i picked it up from outside my house. It also was expected to be here on saturday and not today. The app never told me it would be here friday morning but i was lucky enough to be awake already to recover them. But as it turns out it wouldn’t matter because almost every single one was dead

Took 3 weeks for a smashed, empty container to get to me. What a joke! Do not order. Every review I’ve read either never received crickets or they were dead. Well I received an empty, smashed up container. Why does Chewy continue to sell for this scam of a company. Also there wasn’t even a soaked sponge or anything for the crickets to drink. Why would a company send something live like that? Awful!

I ordered 500 live crickets and they were delayed about a week because of the massive snowstorms, but that’s not what upsets me. What upsets me was they came today all completely dead because the delivery driver left them out alone on my front porch even though I have a warning unit for live animals. Not happy and honestly kinda sad.

The shipping has been incredibly slow with these crickets. This is my 3rd batch and they were all dead this time. Shipped October 5th and I received today October 17th. Chewy did send me a replacement but I still haven’t received this either. I understand shipping sometimes doesn’t go as planned but from a reliability standpoint I would look elsewhere if you want an auto ship that you set and forget

I must start by saying chewey was great about sending a replacement. I messaged them and they sent a replacement right out.but I have a feeling that my next delivery will be The same. I ordered 500 small crickets. Supposed to be 1/4 inch. The about 100 that were alive 6 days later when my order finally arrived are so small that it’s about 8-10 cricket’s that equals a small one. For the price if they were the size claimed to be I would have been happy if I received 300 alive out of the 500. We shall see what the replacements look like. The picture does no justice for the size. It is a small child’s drinking cup and anything that you see that looks big is probably ones I already had. I’ll update when my replacement gets here.

Not worth it

Over half of them showed up dead. Shipping was days later than originally said, so unsure if that is why or not. Hoping because I have autoship set up next month

Normally when I order crickets they are in some kind of container like a tube - not just loose inside the shipping box. I cut the tape on the box and opened it in my kitchen and the crickets were jumping out of the box! I was able to close it quickly and take them to my critter keeper but it was so hard to get ALL of them out because they were hiding behind the inside folds of the box and I also found so many dead ones - more than I think is usual. I definitely lost at least 5-10 while trying to get all of them transferred- they were jumping out of the box and it just felt very hectic and messy. No thanks. I don’t think I’ll purchase again because this is least efficient way I’ve ever received crickets from any company ever.
