This bulb can be used with a dimmer. The Fluker's Clamp Lamp with Dimmer has a ceramic socket and is rated for incandescent bulbs.

I bought two of these bulbs. They came in thin boxes that were shoved next to and under other heavy items on the outside of the carton They were not wrapped for protection. The boxes were crumpled and beat up and one bulb was completely shattered. I do not know yet how I like the bulbs but this review is about the packaging. I don’t know what they were thinking when they packed this carton. Crazy! Chewys was very understanding and shipped me a new one right away. The person that I spoke to via chat was very helpful and friendly. My shipments have been a couple of days late recently, but since it’s been a snowy winter, that’s understandable. PS. I read another post like this where the OP said they had to pay the shipping on the replacement. I don’t know why. I didn’t.

I've been using these bulbs for years, first for my bearded dragon and now for my Uromastyx. Only had one that blew out, and they was years ago. Since then, they're great - I run two in Javier's enclosure 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they last - easily - 8 months. I like to replace them every 6, but if I forget, I know I'm still good. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is their packaging. It doesn't matter where get these bulbs from, the box is super flimsy and falls apart in transit. Chewy packs them really well, but the boxes still fall apart, and I'm always worried a bulb will break in transit.
