I have tried many dog foods, and my dog is extremely sensitive to certain ingredients, especially sweet potatoes, which she is highly allergic to. I have fed this food many times in the past without any issues. When going to purchase a new bag, I noticed that the formula has changed and now includes sweet potatoes, which were not previously in this product. This was very disappointing and concerning, as ingredient changes like this can cause serious problems for dogs with sensitivities. Sweet potatoes cause my dog severe GI upset and intense itching. I am increasingly frustrated with companies changing formulas without clearly flagging these changes to customers. Please double-check ingredients before purchasing, especially if your dog has allergies. Sweet potatoes are being added to many formulas as a cheaper carbohydrate alternative, which makes clear and prominent formula-change warnings even more important for dogs with allergies. It is disappointing to see Farmina, a premium-priced dog food, following this same trend. While there is a "Same Look, New Formula" notice, it is buried several images into the listing. This information should be the FIRST image shown, not several pictures down, especially for a food many customers reorder because it previously worked for their dog.
