We have been trying different proteins with our puppy as chicken seems to give him diarrhea. From what I understand chicken fat/cartilage digests differently than actual chicken because the allergy is from the protein in the meat. My boy did fine on this until we reordered it and he got bad diarrhea and I was so confused. I decided to read the ingredient list on the bag and wtf!!! Just know that the ingredient list on here is not accurate, so beware of other ingredient lists on Chewy as well. I went to the Farmina website and they have updated their ingredients. They must have reformulated and Chewy has not updated their list. Sorry for the crappy photo. But the new list includes dehydrated chicken AND the addition of pork fat/dehydrated pork. So if your pup is allergic to either then beware! I hope this helps someone. I shouldn't have to triple check ingredient lists when I'm already overwhelmed with a puppy and trying to get allergies under control.

My puppy KoKo is absolutely thriving on Farmina N&D Lamb & Blueberry Puppy. Her coat is full, soft, and beautiful, her structure is developing so nicely, and her energy let’s just say she keeps me on my toes all day What really stood out to me is that she eats every single meal with no toppers or extras. If you know, you know that alone says a lot about the quality and taste. I did my research before choosing this brand, and it shows. The ingredients are clean and high quality, and you can literally see the results in your dog. Healthy growth, consistent weight gain, great digestion, and no issues. I’ve tracked her weight and development, and everything has been right on track. Even during her food transition, any slight slowdown corrected itself quickly once she was fully on this food. This is one of those foods where you don’t have to guess if it’s working you can SEE it. If you’re thinking about it, just get it. Your dog will thank you.

I have been feeding this to both of my dogs for 9 months and haven’t had any issues. While feeding Farmina N&D to both of my dogs I have noticed improved coats, less tartar build up between teeth brushings, and regular bowel movements-no more diarrhea. I was having a problem with UTIs with one of my dogs which my vet believes were caused by the previous food I was feeding my dogs. The vet did a urine strip test and my dogs ph was way off from where it should be and suggested a kibble that had more fruit/more acidity... It’s been 9 months since we started this food and it’s been 9 months since we have had a UTI.

I switched my four-month-old puppy to Farmina because she was a little on the thin side, and Farmina is a much higher calorie puppy food. I’d also heard wonderful things about the quality and ingredients of Farmina from a friend who is also a Veterinarian. Farmina recipes contain no peas or legumes!!! My puppy has done very well on the Farmina, she’s put on weight, and the only issue I had with the food was that my pup’s stools were a bit soft, formula is very rich. The nutritional value is protein around 38% and fat around 28%. So for now I am mixing her Farmina with Proplan puppy 50/50. Once she is a year old, and I switch her to adult food, I am planning on transitioning her to 100% Farmina Adult. I feel it’s an exceptional food. Thank you Chewy for carrying it!

Puppy Loves It

Now, I'll be honest. Our lab mix puppy is NOT a good example of whether another dog might love a food, because she's a veritable garbage disposal with a stomach of steel. She eats ANYTHING that we give her. Seriously. She'll chomp down a pill whole just because it's being offered to her. That being said, she does snarf this food down like there's no tomorrow. The kibbles are a little bigger which has the added benefit making it a little harder to just swallow it whole so she occasionally considers chewing, though she doesn't always take the action. She at least considers it. She really seems to like it, but again, not the best judge. There is no unpleasant smell and I feel like the ingredients are a good quality and offer good nutrition for a growing puppy. Based on how she eats it I would absolutely recommend this food.

Bad bag, made my dog sick

My dog has always eaten this food. We started with puppy then graduated to adult, always with lamb & blueberry. This latch batch came in and looked a lot thinner

My dog has always eaten this food. We started with puppy then graduated to adult, always with lamb & blueberry. This latch batch came in and looked a lot thinner than usual, and it didn't smell like blueberries (as it normally does very strongly when you open the bag). My dog had constant diarrhea for a week which led to large red chunks in his stool, until I bought a new bag from my local store and realized it looked (and smelled) nothing like the new bag. It doesn't even look like it was Farmina food. If it was, it was a bad bag. I won't be ordering it from Chewy again.

Excellent Customer Service

I accidentally ordered a 26 lb bag of this dog food except the adult version for my 8 week old puppy. I didn’t realize it was the wrong one until I opened the bag

I accidentally ordered a 26 lb bag of this dog food except the adult version for my 8 week old puppy. I didn’t realize it was the wrong one until I opened the bag and saw how big the kibble was. I didn’t expect anything from Chewy because the error was all mine, but I contacted them anyway after a friend suggested it based on her past experience with them (positive). When I reached out to them, they immediately refunded my money, offered to order me the right bag with free shipping and told me to donate the open bag to a local shelter (which I did). The new food arrived quickly and my pup is a happy one.

I am very cautious about what goes into my dog’s body. I have researched multiple food brands and am always dissatisfied with the fillers & horrible ingredients that many dog food brands include. After carefully reviewing several brands, my husband & I decided N&D would be the right food for our GSD puppy. His coat looks amazing, he is so healthy!
