Authorities in another county enacted a ban on Farmina pet foods made in Serbia due to ARSENIC found in pet foods produced at the companies plant in Serbia leading to the ban January 2024. The Lamb & Blueberry used to be made in Italy. Why does the bag show Serbia code’s expiration date but in the front state it’s Italy. Chewy info also says this formula is Italian made. It is not. According to what I read the arsenic was repeatedly detected in food batches made in Serbia. Farmina never issued a formal recall. Beware it’s still sold in the USA and elsewhere. The food also looks different in color and size. After my cats recent sickness weight loss vomiting and diahrrea. I took him to the vet. I was unaware of the arsenic. I will never buy Farmina again. I hope chewy will look into this and not sell the products. I feel like I’ve been deceived. My cat is a Bengal who has never had a sick day until now. I’m glad I figured it out. Farmina is a big no. I wish I’d read some reviews here but was purchasing directly from Farmina.

why did the food kibble shape change to LARGE??

I have had this on auto-order for years...the last bag I opened, I noticed large kibble chunks compared to small kibble. This bag has a mix of the large and small

I have had this on auto-order for years...the last bag I opened, I noticed large kibble chunks compared to small kibble. This bag has a mix of the large and small. My one finicky cat, who is just 1 year old will no longer eat it. I think too big for his mouth to comfortable chew. This is premium priced and my cat worth it. I hope the manufacturer will go back to making the kibble all the same smaller size. This looks like dog food kibble, I double-checked the bag to make sure I did not order dog food. thank you.

My two cats love this food! My vet recommended this brand when my Maine Coon what having issues with processed foods. This is not just another dry kibble because the lack of grains in it seems to hold more moisture in it, no matter what flavor of N&D I've tried, this or the pictured N&D venison pumpkin apple. Yes, those are teeth marks on the bag pictured - that should tell us something!

I just started this as I have an older diabetic cat and someone at Chewy recommended it for low glycemic, no grain, non GMO, and healthy ingredients . I actually saw he was trying it so I will let you know . If so, I will try the chicken after( dry) . ****I noticed I ALMOST read expiration date incorrectly until I read the date in the line under that . ***I see reviews about expired .. I just thought I would say for other ppl I almost read it wrong too. I THINK many people see manufacture date on top line , but under it is another date for expiration. Mine went 7 months out until expiration . Thought it might help cause I almost read it wrong too . I hope he eats some more bc even prescription foods are full of byproduct which really bugs me. Byproducts are many times intestines etc. where disease starts in animals they make it from . I hope Hills, Royal Canin can make food that’s healthier in the future . He loves his Hills MD dry , and glycobalance wet , the only wet food he ever took to, after diagnosed . We are having massive shipping problems across US , ingredients are sparse , so let’s hope we can get our pets fed! I am remaining positive as I saw he hit the dish last night . Maybe our pets are so used to junk food ingredients …and now that we have some healthy choices they just need to adjust to REAL , better FOOD, not fillers and byproducts . I would take the time . It will be worth it . When he first hit his diabetic food he now chows on like crazy ( Hills dry) , it took him time as he did not like it, but now meows over it. Our pets deserve ingredients like this brand! Wish I found it earlier! Thank you Chewy rep for looking it up for me . Now to find a wet food in case his glycobalance is out of stock with shipping, meat process back ups in US. I cannot say enough about Chewy rep that looked up other alternatives. But I must remember how he did not like the change to his RX food quite awhile . So I’M not giving up and these goods are healthier all the way and good for glucose control. Thanks Chewy abs ND.

Hi, I'm Tally, and I have a lot of food allergies. Mom has figured out the big ones, but there are little ones too. Strange things are put in our food, and it's silly why would I eat peas or potatoes? Since Mom doesn't know the little things, the Vet said it could be any of them, she rotates my food. I can only have certain meats, and it's hard for her to find one with no chicken hidden in there. Lamb I can eat! If I'm on it more than 5-7 days my body starts to react to it, so we switch to another protein source and different ingredient lineup. I hide away when I feel bad, and pull out my hair & lick my skin raw and get bumps, and my ears are scratched bald and bleed. When I feel good, I lay out in the sunlight, and out in the open all day, and my skin clears up and hair comes back. Mom is figuring it out. My tummy doesn't mind switching foods quickly, which is great for me when I need a quick change. If I eat a food too long, and my body is reacting on the outside, my tummy finally will too and I will throw up really bad. It scares me when it happens. Mommy just feels sorry and promises to help me feel better. (I like the Herring & Orange too - oranges, who knew?)

No problems until recently

Have been buying this food for the last 3 almost 4 years and never had a problem. The last bag I received has small pieces of stuff all throughout the entire bag. It's inside the individual pieces of food itself as well. It almost resembles straw/wheat texture but is not supposed to be made with grains so I'm unsure what it is exactly.

SO UPSET!!! Has been my go-to food since my cat was in ICU with a feeding tube due to gut chicken allergy - I fed her at home through tube for a month after. Then dry food hydrolyzed protein only. But was so happy - found Farmina N&D Lamb - she loved, as did all other cats!! Have been noticing vomiting recently. When re-looked closely at ingredients when ordering for umpteenth time saw that the %*#!!!s had ADDED CHICKEN. Thanks a lot. Never buying from Farmina again. Glad my cat didn't end up in A&M ICU again. Or dead. Only posting in case others have cats with same DEADLY ALLERGY!

My cat is an extremely picky girl when it comes to food, I was so happy that I found something she would not only just eat but be excited about eating! I’ve been ordering this lamb and blueberry recipe for several months now, no issues, until recently the bag I received had visibly smaller morsels in it and smelt a little different than what it usually did, and she refuses to eat it now :( sad about the inconsistency with the formula, but hopefully it’s just a one-off thing

My kitties love their Farmina. We have Chicken and Oceanfish and Wild Boar, natch. But this flavor is a house fav. You know how cats usually act like they like something and you buy a boatload because you are so excited they will eat, but then they stop liking it, and you’re stuck with all that food? Our cats have not tired of their Lamb and Blueberry Farmina. Hooray!
