No White Sauce - No Good

What the title says - I am not happy that I bought more of the Florentine food because my cats LOVE the white sauce, to be utterly bewildered when I opened the can

What the title says - I am not happy that I bought more of the Florentine food because my cats LOVE the white sauce, to be utterly bewildered when I opened the can and it was brown like the Tuscany and Primavera which they don't like nearly as much. One sniffed and refused to eat it.. I had to waste my time figuring out if I bought the wrong thing. It is not okay to make a change like this and fail to highlight that fact BOLDLY on the shopping page so that people don't waste their money.

Not the same recipe as before

My cat loved the previous recipe that had a creamy whitish sauce. It is now a semi clear gravy. He hates it. I have thrown almost every can away after opening. I

My cat loved the previous recipe that had a creamy whitish sauce. It is now a semi clear gravy. He hates it. I have thrown almost every can away after opening. I thought I purchased the wrong food. Looking back on my prior orders it is the same Florintine with light broth. This food is too expensive to buy and throw away. Now tryingvto find something else's he will eat. I won't buy this again unless I am sure Purina goes back to the old recipe. Obviously, other reviews have the same complaint. Also, recalls on Purina products, NOT GOOD. Very disappointed.

Like other reviewers I thought the brown sauce cans were a mistake. Nope. Not one of my cats want anything to do with the new recipe. White gravy addiction is a real thing. It takes months to find something they like and as soon as you buy cases of it, it seems they change the recipe. I know why I don't get Flicks chocolate or Branola bread anymore, but try explaining "discontinued" to a cat. Good luck!

This is NOT the Florentine We All Want

Or that your cat liked. Purina decided that changing the recipe was a good idea. I don’t know who thought that was a good idea. Not those of us looking for the one food our cats really liked. It looks like their primavera version. The white sauce & garden greens are gone. And as a cat mama who has to smoosh every can, these chunks are definitely bigger & harder & I’m not capable to smushing them to anyone’s liking. My cats haven’t even taken a single lick from any can I’ve opened. So, despite them claiming they just took the artificial colors out, my cats would argue that that’s not true. And I bought an entire case of florentine. There’s no sense in me opening anymore cans since I’ve seen Purina’s response to other’s inquiries & THIS is their “new” florentine.

Now yhe Florentine coliection looks exactly like the Tuscany collection (in a savory gravy) and the kids don’t like it. Very sad.

I got one auto shipped box of the new formula, figured they just sent me the wrong one on accident. Cat refused to eat it, she's picky. Whatever. Next shipment should be correct. Just got that box in today, and noticed it was the same as the previous box. I looked to make sure I didn't goof anything and that's when I found someone else's review stating the same problem. So I still have a ridiculously picky cat that I have to find a replacement food for, and now two boxes of stuff she's never going to eat because someone at Purina made a decision to make a major change (fine) but not make it a point to rebrand to show that it is in fact pretty different. Never thought I'd be upset about cat food, but here we are.

My two boys love the white florentine variety pack. When I order from chewy or buy it in the store some of the cans are white florentine and others are not. What a rip off. My cats won’t eat the non white creamy food. I’m paying for what the box and cans say. Florentine which means white creamy not dark non creamy. I feel that I am being taken advantage of taking my hard earned money and selling me a product I did not pay for. Shame on nestle purina for fraudulent sale practices

Purina! Whyyyyyyy are you doing this to our babies?? My finicky old boys LOVED the creamy florentine flavors, including the salmon one that wasn’t in this box but was ALWAYS sold out at my local stores. What have you done to the recipe that makes all of these cats (because it’s not just mine after reading all of the recent reviews) absolutely disgusted? Dusty and Pepper acted like I was trying to feed them poison! They’re wondering why their favorite food is now yucky. I can’t even offer them Creamy Delights as an alternative because you’ve discontinued that! I literally cannot find a suitable substitute for them. They’re hungry, confused, and wondering why I’m not feeding them their canned food anymore. I sincerely hope you rectify this immediately. This canned food debacle is on top of your discontinuing of the only kibble that didn’t give Pepper diarrhea. So that has also been “fun”. Thanks for making my kitty’s lives miserable.

Fancy Feast WHY !!!? Why would the white creamy sauce have to change? My cats loved the thicker, white, creamy sauce. When I first started to see this change I thought it was a mistake. I was buying the verity packs, some cans had white sauce and some were in brown sauce. so my next order I bought cases and it's all brown sauce :( So I thought I would goggle it and sure enough the sauce has been changed. The new formula smells different, apparently it taste different too. My cats are refusing to eat it. I will not be buying the "New" Florentine formula again!! I thought maybe I could feed it to the feral cat colony I help to care for, but the wild cats won't eat it either. Now that is saying something. Please, Please, Please change it back to the thinker white creamy sauce our cats have loved for years. I was really disappointed there isn't anything mentioned on the packaging. People are buying this stuff blindly. No indication that anything has changed. That's sad :(

Some orders have been delivered at the leasing office package room because the Apartment complex instructs to do so. The apartment complex is huge and far from my apartment building. However, this is the second time that my delivery was continently outside my door. Which was highly appreciated because I wasn’t able to drive to the leasing office, and when I have had to, the box is pretty heavy. I hope this delivery courtesy continues because only chewy has the fancy feast wet food flavors my cat likes. I also like how fast my order is delivered, and the updates about the delivery I get via email. Thank you to the person who delivered my order!!! I ran out of wet food cans and my car wasn’t working.
