this seems to have much healthier ingredients so why continue with the wheat gluten??
When the nutrition tab says 61 kcal/can, am I to assume that means 61 calories for the whole can? If so, why is it listed as kcal?

I feed my cats the Gourmet Naturals FF. I messed up delivery dates and ran short of food. Sent hubby to pick up a few cans, but he ended up buying this gravy mic instead of pate. I’ve adopted my girls at 6yo, so I don’t really know what they ate before. Ive gone thru lots of cans of food, expensive food too, where they have turned their noses up! When I popped open this can, they came running like feral kitties! Gobbled it up so quickly, that I decided to put it into the rotation. I’m not a fan of wheat gluten, which they use in gravy foods, but I am now using this to entice them to eat when they’ve turned their noses up at another. I mix half a can in with the rejected food and have successfully saved throwing out the other food! It doesn’t get done often, bc of the Wh Gluten, but it certainly saves the day.

Chicken Allergy
Our cat developed a severe allergy to all products that contain any form of POULTRY. At first she was just itching all the time, then she couldn’t keep food down
Our cat developed a severe allergy to all products that contain any form of POULTRY. At first she was just itching all the time, then she couldn’t keep food down and then she started to rapidly lose weight. After thousands of dollars in vet bills and medical tests, she was diagnosed by the vet with intestinal lymphoma as a result of the constant inflammation in her intestinal system from the poultry allergy. It’s getting so hard to find products that DON’T contain poultry. When she was first diagnosed, I researched every brand and read every ingredient list. When we first started buying FF Naturals (pre-pandemic), it didn’t contain chicken or turkey, but like so many other brands, they’ve changed the formula and now this is just one more brand on a very long list of foods she can no longer eat. So disappointed with Fancy Feast and so many other main stream brands that are charging more $ and yet using inferior ingredients.

When I dished the food into their bowls, both of them licked the platter clean, so to speak was in shock, but I was also delighted. They still love this, and they are scarfing it up on a daily basis. I have never been so glad to make a mistake in my life!
