Our cat uses to only eat dry kibble. He used to hate anything other than his kibble. But, as he has gotten older and after a recent dental procedure, wet food became necessary. We tried a few different options, but Fancy Feast Gems was the favorite. Boo Kitty loves the gravy on top. And the serving size of 2 oz is perfect. Anything more seems to be too much. We give our cat a Gem and 2 tablespoons of dry kibble in the morning and the same thing at nalmost all of it. If ever there are leftovers, we leave it out for a little while and he comes back to finish it all up. I know some reviews say that it does not come out of the containers easily, but it actually does. If you open it, flip it onto a plate, and then squeeze the sides of the container, it loosens the Gem block and it slides right out. I have not had any issues thus far. I will continue buying these Gems as long as our cat keeps eating them.

If your cat loves gravy, this IS the cat food for you!! I have tried at least 10 different gravy-infused cat foods which my cat enjoys. However, NOTHING compares to how much my cat loves the gravy on these gems. He’s 21 years old and has sensitive teeth, so the soft texture of these gems has made eating it a breeze. He seems to like the shape of the actual food too as I noticed he will eat more of it when the cube is intact rather than if I mix it up! Furthermore, since he’s old, his appetite is not what it used to be and he struggles to eat a lot in one sitting. This has been a great way to feed him small portioned meals throughout the day to make sure he’s eating enough! Highly, highly recommend it for any gravy-loving cat!! 10/10!

I have recently adopted a stray cat. It was really hungry and looked very thin to us. I started feeding her a couple times a day. I had to start feeding her (we calling it a girl but not sure just yet). Anyway I had to travel outside my yard to do the feedings. I did this twice a day for about a month. She would be waiting for me to come. She sat on the cold ground. One day while she was in my yard trying to catch one of the birds that I feed I attempted to feed her while she was in my yard. Success and I put together a shelter for her on my back deck. I feed her three times a day now and she will only eat fancy feast. So m, I decided to change it up a little and give her a special (I call it special) meal. For, the last meal of the day I tried the the Fancy Feast Mouse with Pate and man the cat licks the bowl clean every evening and that is after eating twice already during the day. I think she is spoiled already but still lots of work to be done to get her to trust me. But, to me and her it’s a big success.

we have an adult (rescue)cat with a rodent ulcer lip, as a result of treatments, he has developed diabetes (2 shots a day), sigh. he is not able to open his mouth wide to take bites of wet food and needs very smooth wet foods. These are perfect, the extra gravy makes mixing it together the perfect texture for him. It is very important for him to eat and of course he has turned his nose up at the RX diabetes wet and dry food, Vet says he just needs to eat!! so yay! These gems are to easy to find in the store, having them delivered to our door is the best!

Cats loved it, packaging is irritating

Package is tricky/messy to open - peeling off the foil top always made juice spurt out on my hands and surroundings; the plastic gem shaped container is too inflexible

Package is tricky/messy to open - peeling off the foil top always made juice spurt out on my hands and surroundings; the plastic gem shaped container is too inflexible to easily release the food onto the dish, it takes several tries or just scooping with a utensil. Leaving it in the cute pyramid shape the first time, my cats only licked all over it then gave up, so I always ended up mixing it into a paste with a fork and a little water. On the plus side the cats loved the food once it was mushed into more of a paste, and cleaned their plates every time, so I'll look for something similar in an easier to manage package.

The variety pack is perfect for my 3 cats. If one doesn't like a certain flavor, one of the other two won't hesitate to jump on it. The gems are the perfect size

The variety pack is perfect for my 3 cats. If one doesn't like a certain flavor, one of the other two won't hesitate to jump on it. The gems are the perfect size for my 14 year old. He's toothless and sometimes struggles with hard food, so the pate texture is much easier for him and helps keep him hydrated as well. The portion size also keeps him from scarfing his food down. I hesitate to feed this on its own since clean up can be pretty gross some days (yay pregnancy aversions!), but as a topper I'm ok with it as long as everyone stays a healthy weight.

I’ve taken in a very senior kitty I named Jake. The Vet said he was well over 14 years old. My task is to get his weight up from almost 7 pounds to a healthy weight of 12 pounds. This stray kitty was sleeping on my front porch and looked like he was about to die. He was already neutered and declawed. Definitely someone’s cat. So being the cat lover I took him in and all the responsibility of cat ownership. Jake loves all the varieties of cat food. With a total of five kitties I take his care seriously. He gets whatever he wants. So thank you in helping me with Jake’s care. And my other kitties love the leftovers Jake leaves.

We have a picky eater who needs to eat wet food with her daily medication. A neighbor who fosters cats suggested these, and they've been a game changer. She doesn't care about the flavor but she loves them, they don't upset her stomach, and she clearly looks forward to them every morning. My only complaint is that the packaging is terrible. The foil can be difficult to remove and the gems take a lot of squeezing and banging to remove from the packaging. The vacuum is so strong that the plastic packaging has broken a couple of times and we've had to throw away a gem out of fears of feeding our cat plastic pieces. Otherwise this would be 5/5 for helping us find something that Miss Kitty loves.
