The Exo Terra Reptile UVB150 has a very high UVB output similar to sunlight in deserts. It does not provide UVA.

When I first plugged this in, I didn’t have high hopes for this bulb as it started off really dark. However, after it was on for a few minutes, it quickly got brighter

When I first plugged this in, I didn’t have high hopes for this bulb as it started off really dark. However, after it was on for a few minutes, it quickly got brighter. It reached maximum brightness within five minutes, likely less than that. My bearded dragon lives in a 75-gallon tank and I placed the lamp with the bulb at the middle of the tank. The light radiating from the bulb penetrated through his tank quite nicely and radiated throughout his tank. It reached both ends, but I think two of these lights at each side would be most ideal for larger and longer tanks. This review considers the light coupled with his basking bulb and without. Obviously, the bulb with his basking light was brighter, but without the basking light there was not a large difference. This little bulb is a great value and I’m impressed with what I’ve seen from it so far.

I bought 2 of these for my tortoise and bioactive leopard gecko tank but unfortunately the bulbs are too long for the fixtures so they have to sit weird. It’s not

I bought 2 of these for my tortoise and bioactive leopard gecko tank but unfortunately the bulbs are too long for the fixtures so they have to sit weird. It’s not too big of a deal to me but I’m going to have to buy new fixtures so they fit properly which sucks. So just keep that in mind before purchasing.

The bulb isn’t as bright as I thought it would be but after the first day my white tree frogs were happily sitting directly underneath it! It will take more time to see if it helps with their color and other natural habits but we’re all pleased with the results so far!

I’ve been using the Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 for a little over a month with my bearded dragon, and it’s been working really well. The UVB output is strong and consistent, great for keeping him healthy and active. It fit easily into a standard dome fixture and hasn’t had any issues so far. No flickering or dimming just steady light every day. Overall, it’s a solid, dependable bulb I feel good about using in my setup. I’ll definitely be getting another one when it’s time to replace it.

The Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile bulb is ideal for the use in my 75gallon enclosure for my bearded dragon (I will in the future also use it for my sulcata tortoise)

The Exo Terra Desert UVB 150 Reptile bulb is ideal for the use in my 75gallon enclosure for my bearded dragon (I will in the future also use it for my sulcata tortoise). It emits a bright, natural appearing light that my dragon seems to like. It fits perfectly in the square light fixture that I use on the enclosure on a metal mesh lid. I can't say much about durability, yet, but all in all I am very satisfied with the product so far.

We received this bulb through the pawsibilities program. We are using it as a basking lamp for our turtle. He seems to enjoy it and is basking like he normally does

We received this bulb through the pawsibilities program. We are using it as a basking lamp for our turtle. He seems to enjoy it and is basking like he normally does so I'd say it's good to go. We haven't seen any negatives but we've only had it a couple of weeks and I suppose it would take a while to see negative effects if he isn't getting what he needs from his basking lamp.

Burned my gecko

I bought this bulb thinking it was the same bulb I had before. Now I'm thinking I ended up buying the wrong bulb. This is not advertised as a heat lamp yet it caused

I bought this bulb thinking it was the same bulb I had before. Now I'm thinking I ended up buying the wrong bulb. This is not advertised as a heat lamp yet it caused severe thermal burns on my leopard gecko's back. It was placed at the same height and was turned on for the same amount of time as I always have with his lights. He's not able to get close to it yet he's covered in second degree burns. Poor guy is pretty painful. Horrible light that needs to come with a warning that it may cause burns.
