Eukanuba Weight Control formulas provide the nutrition dogs need with less fat to maintain a healthy weight. If your dog eats one meal per day, try dividing it into two or three mini meals. Smaller portions fed more often will keep him fuller longer. And make sure he gets plenty of exercise to help him burn more fat and energy. Go for a walk or play a game of fetch. But don't overdo it! Start slowly to build his endurance, then gradually increase the intensity and duration to create a safe, effective exercise routine.

My sport dog, Morrow the black lab, is usually very active and very muscular. During the summer months, he’s active enough to burn through calories of regular formulas like the Eukanuba Sprint or Sport formulas. However, in the winter months, we are significantly less active as most of our sports are water based and the water around these parts is frozen all winter long haha. So this year I noticed he started to gain a little weight over the winter months. I tried switching him to weight loss foods of other brands and to my surprise, this usually hungry hungry hippo refused to eat them. I finally decided to try this formula out and began seeing serious improvement in just a week of feeding. He started having a trim waist again. He also LOVES this food and doesn’t hesitate to eat it unlike the other weight loss formulas we tried. I’m so happy because this formula still has a decent amount of protein yet is lower in fat and kcals which is exactly what he needed. We will be feeding this for sure every winter going forward!

Within 2 1/2 months, the excess weight has she'd, and their back into active form. I've recently returned to this kibble for one of my older, de-sexed Pyrenees, and just like clock work the winter weight has fallen off! (-If your dog is a working/sporting canine, I'd recommend supplementing with a high protein low cal muscle builder like Myos to improve muscle toning during/after the weight loss!) All in all, very reliable formula that's palatable, low in fats, and encourages consistent, healthy stools and shiny coats.

Our vet recommended this food because she was having allergy symptoms but didn't like the fish flavored foods I tried. When we started her on this food we also started her on an Alaskan fish oil. Like I said, she loves the food BUT her coat is dull (it is soft though). Right now it's Spring/ Summer time and she is shedding A LOT (this breed sheds a lot anyway). I DO RECOMMEND THIS FOOD. Due to her dull coat I gave it 4 stars, however the dull coat may just be her issue and not the food.

Shortly after getting his new kibbles ge has a vestibular episode and Monday we are getting a second opinion. The prognosis doesn't look good. We switched from the normal large breed Eukanuba to the weight control and he dropped to 68lbs at his next appointment. To maintain and not lose more, the vet recommended upping the amount he gets with each meal. Teddy had no GI issues switching, though we did mix the new bag with what was left of his old bag so I’m sure that helped.
