Eukanuba Adult Large Breed Lamb 1st Ingredient Dry Dog Food, 33-lb bag

Our German Shepherd had no hair on the edges of his ears. When taken to the vet they thought it might be a fungal issue. However, the treatment the vet prescribed didn't work. We tried several things before the vet said it is possible he had a good allergy. This started when our dog was about a year old. We tried all different types and brands of food over the course of two years. Blazer is now 3 1/2 and we stared him on Lamb and Rice Eukanuba about 5 months ago. We had tried Lamb and Rice before but other brands. (We were told to avoid chicken.) We were convinced our dog would never have hair on the edges of his ears. He seemed to like the Eukanuba better right away. Within 3 months he had hair growing back on his ears. Within the next month all of his hair is back! For the first time in 2 1/2 years he has hair on his ear and looks like the handsome dog we knew he was!! We will only use Eukanuba from now on!!!

Really glad that we can include this food in our rotation! I wanted to write this review for anybody who is hesitant to try this food because of the chicken ingredient that’s listed 3rd on the label. Our one pup has a chicken allergy (resulting primarily in chronic ear infections); he’s been doing well on this formula. I can’t speak to those pups who may experience *extreme* skin issues or upset stomach from their chicken allergy. He’s also a bit larger than his breed standard, so the extra joint supplementation is always preferred when we choose a food. Overall, really pleased with this food, the ingredients, and the price point. The pups eat it right up, too!

I never write reviews but our 2 year old French mastiff was shedding like crazy and losing hair , after 4 weeks of steroid she was doing better and I decided to switch from wellness to eukabana , her coat is so soft and shiny even though she swims almost daily in the lake and our 8 year old pit rescue mix coat is soft as well ! They both had coarse hair and our fm fur now feels like it did when she was a puppy . It may not be for every dog but our dogs love this food and I can’t get over how much healthier their skin looks snd their coats .. winner winner ! Lamb dinner for our girls !
