Eukanuba Adult LP Small & Medium Breed Dry Dog Food, 33-lb bag

This is good food and I will continue to use it unless I find something better. I have always been impressed with the changes in my dogs when I put them on Eukanuba dry food, but they have abandoned the original recipe from what they told me at the company. The only one available with the original ingredients has been discontinued and is now only sold made with Salmon. I would use that but my dog doesn't like it as his regular food, only occasionally, and it's still not made with red meat. I don't know why anyone would mess with a winning formula in the first place. Then they added a myriad of different specialty foods. There was no reason for that, the original formula was made for dogs. The nutritional requirements for different breeds are not different unless the dog is bred wrong, and it seems to me they are trying to supply cheaper options, which defeats the purpose of an ultimate product. "We make the best food! Or, there's this too." NO! They need to stop that nonsense. Anyway, still the best as far as I can tell after trying several of the top touted brands.

We’ve been feeding our dogs Eukanuba Adult Lamb exclusively for over six months now. We transitioned slowly from their previous food. First and foremost, they devour this kibble and lick their bowls clean. Second, we’ve noticed it doesn’t take much of this formula to keep muscular weight on the dogs. Be very careful not to over feed this formula. On the other hand, if you’re looking to add muscular weight on your dogs this could do the trick. Poops are firm and well formed, averaging once or twice a day, making cleanup easy. Their skin and coats are healthy and shiny. Scratching and licking themselves is almost nonexistent. The other things we like are, so far, we’ve never had a bag arrive torn open, or with holes in it. We’ve never received a bag that was compromised by moisture getting inside. Eukanuba bags seem to be very sturdy compared to other manufacturers. Another positive, so far in our experience there is very little to none in the way of kibble dust, crumbs, or crushed kibble in the bag. We’ve NEVER opened a bag where the kibble looked or smelled bad. We’ve NEVER experienced a bag containing any insects or contamination of any kind. All in all, this is a good quality kibble that is very well packaged.

This is our Border Collie Maggie's go-to food. She has a mild sensitivity to chicken protein, so finding an alternative protein is a must. We've tried different brands with lamb formulas, and each time I was disappointed. I am a firm believer in Eukanuba. Their bags hold quality that can be seen in the kibble and my dog's condition. With other brands, she either didn't like it or it was super dry. Maggie is mostly a pet, but when she does work I'm happy to know I can feed this kibble based on activity level. After of day of chasing sheep, I can give her exactly what she needs.Something I don't see other brands advise for. After all the products I've tried, all my dogs eat Eukanuba. And best yet, they enjoy it.

Our dog has done well on most all foods we’ve tried out but I finally gave in and decided to go with a vet approved brand. A food made for active dogs is a must for us with a very active Heeler that is naturally on the leaner side. This food is awesome! Perfect poop, and less pooping than before (used to go about 3-4x/day, now he goes twice) and is full of energy. Skin and coat look great and he loves the taste. No more ear infections and no bad gas. I would highly recommend Eukanuba to anyone with an active dog.
