I bought these for pills, but she eats her pills when mixed in with her mash, so I use these as treat now instead. I pinch into halves or thirds. The bucket has lasted 3 months as treats. Make sure you close it so they stay soft. They are not low sugar but if you get 2 or 3 treats out of each larger muffin, it’s not much. Each “muffin” is about 2” across. They are a bit messy in your pocket (they crumble) but if you have a specific barn coat, not a big deal. Just don't accidentally wash one in your pocket. You will have little, tiny, poking grain bits stuck in all your clothes!

I have a very picky horse who has perfected the art of acting like he is eating a treat with his 2 small pills buried in it, only to eat the treat and spit out the pills. This is the only one that has worked without fail. It doesn't tend to crumble like some other soft treats I've tried and stays soft and pliable even in cold temperatures. It also has some tasty crunchy bits mixed in so the hard pill buried within doesn't seem like an anomaly that needs to be spit out. It also seems to do a good job in disguising any smell associated with the pills. You can easily put pills in the dimple and fold it over so the pills so they are secure within the treat and well hidden. Highly recommended!

These are crumbly, but I tear them in half and morph them around a single pill. The warmth of my hand is enough for the cookies to hold their shape. I’ve tried other pill pocket cookies and these are the best. My horse really likes them.
