We put this in our suet feeder which hangs over a seed feeder that has a roof. All the suet that gets dropped on the roof gets eaten by all the birds who visit our yard. And a lot of birds who would normally not land on a suet feeder eat from it because they can reach it while standing on the roof. And they all seem to love it: downies, hairies, red-bellies, plus finches, juncos, blue jays, cardinals, starlings, carolina wrens. And every once in a while we get a giant pilleated doing his best to hang on to our too small for him feeder so he can enjoy this apparently yummy stuff. Great fun to watch!

Awaiting Alfred Hitchcock to appear!

Hung up the peanut delight no melt suet for first time yesterday. It was dusk and the birds came but not a lot of interest in the suet (at first) and all attention was still on the cat food (that I put out for the stray/feral cats and opossums and racoons) and the tray of bird seed I have up on the recycle bin. BUT, The this morning I looked out and it was a mix of Cirque De Solei and Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds! They were literally standing in line waiting for a space to be free on the suet cage, because there were always 3-4 birds on the cage. I did not expect that much excitement over the suets. I mainly got them to try and deter them from going after the cat food bowl. Between the bird seed on top the recycle bin and the hanging suet I thought maybe they'd leave the bowl of food on the ground in the corner alone. I put a second cage up about 6 feet away in the tree thinking it would cut down on the high population of birds on the first one. NOPE just MORE birds showed up later! I thought one suet would last at least maybe 2-3 days... but 3 suets only lasted for the most part about 2-3 hours. So I can say 100% that the birds here are flocking to the suets!! Now it's like I created a monster. I'm all for giving back and helping wild life, but I am not kidding when I said it looked like a scene from The Birds and an acrobatic act from Cirque De Solei!

The Bluejays!

I love all the birds but I’m kind of crazy over the Bluejays. Did u know Bluejays are watch tower birds? They will warn birds at feeding areas of predators. People think they are being aggressive over food but they are warning of danger. Often times giving their own lives to save other birds. They can’t eat at most feeders because they are larger birds. I set a Suet cake and seeds on top of a turned over planter under my deck. They come all day. My bird feeder is also turned toward my windows under my deck. This is safer for the birds and I can see them but predatory birds can’t. I added a hook to the suet cake holder to stabilize it. It would spin when the birds landed on it and it scared them. Now there’s a line just like another reviewer stated. We have tons of Barn Swallows this year. I love them. I know many people don’t. We live on Lake Tawakoni and have a crazy spider population. We had a record large spider web here. Scientist came from around the world it was so large. Barn Swallows eat spiders so they are more than welcome here. I’ve been thanking Jesus everyday for these sweet birds. Blessings!

C&S Peanut Delight suet is almost too good!

My local (Philadelphia area) birds can eat two cakes placed in a squirrel-proof cylindrical wire-mesh cage feeder in two days or less, either by entering or reaching in. When placed in a hanging house-shape wooden feeder intended for woodpeckers to hang upside down and eat through the wire-mesh floor the sparrows watch and learn how to feed this way also, but two cakes do last longer.

Great suet and inexpensive!

This stuff is like hard drugs to the birds. Its inexpensive and they go nuts for it. With it being winter I tried switching to a more expensive higher protein type to help the little dudes and dudettes get through the winter and they want nothing to do with it. One of these blocks was lasting 3-4 days tops and the two of the other I have out now have remained almost the same size for over a week and I think its been mostly squirrel action. I love this stuff and will definitely be getting more

C & S makes a very good quality peanut suet cake. Believe it or not, some suet cakes contain artificial flavors and dyes! Yes, if you read the ingredients, like I do, you will see that some - particularly those containing fruit - are made with bad ingredients. Some have also SHRUNK in size, while the price just keeps going up and up (think post-COVID widespread practices here) but these have stayed the same size in ounces. And these cakes by C & S brand contain only good ingredients and while we can't seem to get away from prices continually increasing every year or even every several months, we can choose products that contain natural, healthy ingredients for ALL of our furry and feathered friends!

Received our Autoship order today and instead of five 8-pack cases (a total of 40 individual trays) we received five individual trays. The 24/7 Help Desk staff worked to immediately get a replacement order in the system. That said, attention to detail could have prevented this error in the first place.

My backyard visitors absolutely love this suet. I recently had four Baltimore Orioles eat it so quickly it ran out before I could restock. As soon as I put out the new shipment, all the regulars flocked back - woodpeckers, finches, titmice, chickadees, etc.
