I have an Aussie and had been giving her credilio for years now. Not only does it work incredibly as I’ve seen the dead ticks and one running for their lives but recently found out after a failed attempt at a dental cleaning, she is MDR1+. She has never had an issue with this medication. Phew!! I recently gave her a little brother and when the vet suggested the same preventative, I felt very comfortable saying yes!!

Apartment nightmares

When you are in an apartment, things spread especially with shared dog yards. After about 8 months, i suddenly became infested. I fought with it for over 2 years. By infested i mean, all over them, me, etc. My white dog had a lot of black moving spots. INFESTED. I would literally have panic attacks and cry. I had to tell friends they could not visit. I had to hear my dogs whimper. It was awful and i would breakdown feeling like the worse piece of trash for not being able to get rid of them. I tried 8 different brands of both oral and topical treatments. Bombed the house. Destroyed a dyson using d.e. on the carpets, used carpet sprays.... tried so much. I was at my wits end. Then came this. Within 1 day, a HUGE difference one my dogs. I was visiting my mom. Went home and within days, the majority were gone. After a few weeks and the preexisting eggs hatched, they died quickly. It has been a year and they have a customer for life. Meds dont work for every animal out there, but for my dogs (and my sanity), this has been a huge blessing i cannot and will not live with.

One has Lar Par (14 years old) the other dog has shaky legs at 8 years old-and she's only a medium size dog-so she's got years left. Not sure if Credelio is to blame, but it makes sense given the warnings about it in this regard. So, rating of 3 because it does work very well. Knocking two stars off due to my insecurity in using the product.

I adopted a dog in May who had been prescribed this specific flea/tick medication because when he came to the rescue he had a bit of demodex and this cleared it up. Fastforward to recently and the puppy we took in shortly after recently had some spots show up on her skin that appeared to either be yeast or possibly some demodex. After cleaning the spots on her skin with medicated wipes for a few weeks, I ordered this for both doggos again and her skin has cleared right up. I generally don't treat for fleas during the winter as it's usually not an issue, but this is what we will be using going forward due to its efficacy for fleas, ticks, and mites at the price point. Also, no weird side effects or behaviors in either dogs.

Just started giving Credelio to my dog this year. So easy to just dose him once a month with an easy to feed pill. No mess, like the topicals and no potential skin issues. Plus, I don't have to worry about touching him after dosing--don't have to wait for anything to dry. We started using this on my Mom's 10 yr. old dog instead of topicals when she had seborrhea on her back and we didn't want to use a topical. She did so well with it, that we both switched to Credelio permanently. I now use it on my puppy, too. Chewy makes ordering easy and they will contact your vet to make the process seamless!

Finally something has worked for fleas

Since Frontline and Advantix, all types, quit working for our dogs we have tried everything. The only thing we found that would kill the fleas was Dawn...but how many times can you wash your dogs? We vacuum daily..even the dogs. Nothing worked. Then Credelio arrived Friday, yesterday and we added it to their dinner. All 7 dogs are laying here quietly not scratching. I flea combed them and NOTHING! I almost cried I was so happy. This worked..and fast. Let's just hope it keeps working and the fleas don't build up a resistance. Thank you Credelio.

The protection is excellent. I've had to skip months and still some see dead fleas who tried and failed to setup camp on my boy, long after he's do for a re-dose

The protection is excellent. I've had to skip months and still some see dead fleas who tried and failed to setup camp on my boy, long after he's do for a re-dose. But that is the problem. Besides being expensive, these are hard tablets like overbaked Flintstones vitamins. My dog will gobble up a real chewable, like his interceptor, but it's always a struggle to get him to take Credelio tablets. He's really not a picky eater. At all. Some dogs are obviously fine with this, but I've lost expensive pills to crumbles and goo piles trying everything from a food dish covered in gravy to the mighty Kraft singles trick. It's very frustrating. But that's just something to keep in mind before you buy in bulk. And maybe have a conversation with your Vet about alternatives if you also have this problem. But if your dog eats it, it's probably the best way to go.

It’s now December and still working. I find dead dried up little ticks on my dogs. As soon as I realize the ticks aren’t dying I’ll order more. 100% worth the cost. Cause I was hand picking ticks off and it’s nasty. And if Chewy will contact the vet for a prescription and ship it to me, it’s a win for me cause I hate going to the vet office.

My puppy is a collie with the MDR1 mutation, so he can’t take the more popular tick preventatives. I did a ton of research to find the best product that was safe for him, and Credelio is the bomb! Did you know that most tick preventatives only kill one or two types of ticks? I didn’t either! No wonder some of them didn’t work on our previous dog after we moved! Well Credelio kills four kinds of ticks, AND it’s safe for dogs with MDR1. Win win! My pup has been on it for a month now and every tick I’ve found on him that wasn’t right after we came inside was DEAD. That’s what I like in a tick preventative! Awesome product!
