How it Works
The Comfort Zone calming mist dispensed by the diffuser contains pheromones that mimic a cat’s natural feline facial pheromones (FFP). How to Use

I have a cat with severe anxiety (she's a Napoleon cat). She takes Prozac and it helps but has not fully resolved her issues. I have also added in a probiotic for anxiety and these diffusers and have seen a dramatic improvement over time. She is now making friendly gestures towards my other cat and is not pulling out her fur as much as she was. Her anxiety is severe so she needs multiple treatments but this was added at a different time than the other treatments so I'm sure that it is responsible for part of her improvement.

Vet recommended to buy Feliway. I ran across the Comfort Zone and for the price, I purchased. Bad decision on my part. I was told to plug it in where my 4 kids hung out the most. Well, duh, kitchen. So I plugged it in at the island near their bowls on the floor. One morning after several weeks I noticed this large area on my granite countertop. At first I thought it was blood or urine from one of my cats. I panicked and checked on all 4 cats. Thankfully all were good. The next thing I immediately noticed was this plug in and the greasy oil substance on my cabinet and under the unsealed granite countertop. There you go, my brand new home kitchen's island is damaged beyond repair. We have had several contractors here trying to remove this substance to no avail. Now we've dealing with the company for a couple of months for authorization to move forward in replacing this countertop. I have read on other reviews that this product HAS CAUSED FIRES. this product should be taken off the market immediately! Trust me, trust these reviews, it never worked, 2 of my cats lost their meows, it ruined my granite countertop and wood cabinet. Consider yourself warned! I wish someone had warned me.

I've used the feliway classic in the past to help introduce a new kitten to older, stubborn cats but when I recently brought in a 6 month old rescue cat in desperate need of food and a home my boys went full offensive on her. Because of the new cat's lack of socialization and semi feral upbringing (at 6 months old she had never been indoors until I brought her in) my indoor cats felt threatened and she was scared. Spent several days of slow introduction and allowing her to retreat outside when she became too stressed. I received these refills this morning and promptly put them in. The new cat came back inside for dinner and was accepted in the kitchen with no hissing or snarling. Previously she was always made to eat in the livingroom where the others could not see her to keep stress levels down. My big male even gave up his normal dinner dish to her tonight with no complaints. There has been no physical aggression with these defusers running. There has been less fleeing from each other this evening. The behavior of all 4 cats has changed drastically within the past 12 hours. There is still some grumbling and hissing but they are noticeably less stressed even when in close proximity to each other. These are very helpful to create a calm, inviting environment and I plan to keep these running in the main rooms the cats occupy while they acclimate and while their new friend learns the rules of the house.

These past few days the cats have been literally running off the walls and even fighting. At 12am we realized the plugs were out so we replaced them and not even 24 hours later they are back to loving on each other. Needless to say we LOVE this product!

Bedtime was a nightmare with all 5 running, jumping on the kitchen counters, climbing in my pantry, running and sliding off of furniture, scratching furniture, and worst of all...climbing my curtains. They had me climbing the walls! I had tried sprays to keep them off of the furniture - which DID NOT work. So finally after reading reviews of Pheromone products for cats, I decided on trying Comfort Zone. It has been a blessing in a little bottle. No more running through the house like maniacs, no more climbing curtains, climbing on kitchen counters or in the pantry. They still have their playtime but it is sooo much more calm now. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful this product is. I am sure that it does not work for everyone but so for me, it is a God Send (a Chewy Send).

Ever since the Cat distribution system added a kitten to our home 2 years ago, there has been mild chaos in the home between cats even with proper introductions. These plug-ins have been a game changer. There is peace once again! Of course there are still small disagreements but nothing like the yelling & tuffs of hair incidents of the past. These work so well, I have been using them for almost a year and I can seriously tell when the diffusers run low when the confrontations start up again. Highly recommend these for multiple cat households but you need to commit and add them in all common rooms and keep them filled.

I feel like "Feliway Diffuser" is almost synonymous with "pheromone diffuser for cats," much like folks ask for a Kleenex or a Coke. In our experience, Comfort Zone's product is comparable to Feliway's. Note: This product is REFILLS ONLY. You will already need to own a Comfort Zone diffuser to use these refills. Chewy sells the diffusers, too, so have a browse.

I have a multiple cat household so there is always somebody hissing, growling, hitting, chasing, etc. I purchased these in hopes of calming everybody down and helping them tolerate each other a little bit. I have a 2 story house and have all 6 of these diffusers in use. None are by a window, register vent or obstructed by furniture. Since I have been using these diffusers, the fighting has actually gotten worse. Somebody is constantly growling and hitting somebody else. I wake up in the middle of the night to cats screaming because they are being attacked by other cats. These diffusers may work for some but not for us. They have made our situation so much worse. I wish I hadn't wasted so much money on these.

Despite my skepticism, I tried this on my vets recommendation for my cats predatory behaviors with my bare feet and friends’ hands. I noticed a difference after about two weeks. I can tell when I need to change the cartridge by my cats behavior. He has become the affectionate kitty that was always there but obfuscated by anxiety, and without having to resort to Prozac or keflar protective gear when going to pet him!
