Ziva is one of my 16-year-old girls. For the last five years starting in October she has gotten ear infections. In November, the last five years, her ear infections have turned to pneumonia. Each year I have gone through the expense of the vet and medication’s to save my sweet child.(yes! She is one of my children!) It was suggested that I start her on L Lysine. So this year in October (or before I don’t remember.), I ordered. Coco and Luna lysing supplement. I mixed it in a “delectable cat treat.”. Surprisingly to me she ate it easily. I was afraid I was going to have to actually force her to eat it, but I didn’t. I gave it to her exactly as the package said to do. October passed with not one ear infection, no trip to the vet, and no anabiotic shots. No pills to shut down her throat, and no getaway chase game trying to catch her. It is now the end of December January is quickly approaching, and she did not get Pneumonia. I can’t tell you how wonderful it was to have December pass without the fear of losing my sweet girl. I recommend this lysine for that reason.

There was a short time when I had run out and did not have any to give to him. It was about a five day stretch and within those five days, his respiratory issues started to flare. I rescued a feral cat over a year ago. He was near death, skinny with abcesses. Since I could not handle him, I started him on wet food. Then I read that this product helped with URI's. It does. He was so congested, sneezing with mucky eyes. On this product, his eyes cleared up within a week. His congestion will probably be lifelong. He is OK as long as he gets a daily dose of the L-Lysine. I've tried to wean him off of it but he immediately gets worse. He is relatively healthy as long as he has this. He is now able to eat kibble and seems very happy. He has not left my yard in months and comes running to be petted every time I go outside. I still cannot hold him or crate him so no vet is possible. I did trap him for feral rescue so he was neutered and returned. L-lysine is a miracle for my cat.

I have two Persian cats. I used to give them vetri science lysine chews and they loved it. Then they changed their formula, it smelled weird and they were rock hard. I tried re purchasing a bunch of times because my prior experience with lysine powder wasn’t good. Every order of the chews was awful, so i had to hunt for something new. Even Tried the gels. My cats wouldn’t even go near it. One of my kitties developed a sequestrum in his eye and had to have surgery. After almost 2 months and a million drops a day, the vet said his eye was healing unusually slow. He was not on a lysine supplement during this time as I hadn’t found a good one they liked. Well, i finally found this, and almost immediately his eye started showing real improvement! I didnt do anything else differently except add a scoop of this to his food twice a day. Hes almost all better now, and i really do think adding this helped. Also, the cats seem to like the taste too.

I had such high hopes per the reviews for my boy who has had upper respiratory issues (basically Herpes) since a kitten. Even my vet suggested a L-lysine supplement. This has not worked for him at all. I don't believe it is the product itself (as other brands in the past have not helped). I will say though I mix it with his wet food and unlike other products, he eats all of his meal instead of refusing to eat or eating "around" the product, so it must taste good. I can't smell the product and it melts easily in wet food. We are about half way done so I will continue until it's gone. Unfortunately for me it did not work, but I wouldn't be discouraged to try as it sounds like others have had luck. I just think my baby is too far gone (he's 14 with food and environment allergies as well).
