This toy does not squeak.

Is this hard rubber that my dog can sink her teeth into?

Answer by ChewyMay 26, 2025
This stick is made from durable rubber. It's designed to be tough and resistant to chewing, but not completely chew-proof—it's primarily a fetch toy, not a chew toy. No toy is indestructible. Supervise your pet when using, since small parts can present a choking hazard or internal blockage. Discontinue use if the toy is damaged.

Is this small enough for my schnauzer mix?

Answer by ChewyMay 14, 2026
The Chuckit! Ultra Fetch Stick Dog Toy is great for pups of all sizes, and it measures 12.2 x 2.6 x 1.3 inches.

We have a pitbull and a cattledog/pit mix that love to chase frisbees, balls you name it. The problem is they destroy them in the first day. Frisbees and balls get cracked or chewed apart instantly. I’m pleasantly surprised by this toy! It has held up great for two weeks so far (a record for us) with no signs of wear, barely any teeth marks. It’s flexible so it doesn’t snap and has enough give so it isn’t easy to tear pieces off of. The flexibility has an added bonus that both of my dogs can play with it at the same time and play tug a war. If these two 60lb block heads can’t destroy it so far, that’s a quality product to me!

Confused about the quality

This is my superchewer's inside fetch stick but I can't tell yet how it's going to hold up. It's WAY floppy and has these micro tears just from us throwing it around

This is my superchewer's inside fetch stick but I can't tell yet how it's going to hold up. It's WAY floppy and has these micro tears just from us throwing it around but somehow seems to be maintaining its integrity. Superchewer loves snipping at the seams with her front teefies but hasn't managed to snag anything yet. We, like many of the reviewers, love and trust the Chuckit balls but time will tell with the stick.

Bentley thought it was a treat at first. He immediately laid down in the grass and started chewing on it. I had to show him that it’s a fetch toy. After that he loved trying to catch it in mid-air. He also enjoyed shaking it. It’s now called his wiggly stick! It’s made from a thick rubber, and is fairly durable. However, I would not recommend leaving it with a dog unsupervised if the dog likes to chew. Bentley is a very large dog and loves to chew. He would probably eat this toy fairly quickly if left alone with it. So I only bring it out for playtime with him. He likes it because he can see the bright colors, and the rubber doesn’t hurt his mouth when he catches it.

This however is a fantastic SUPERVISED toy. Both my dogs learned to fetch and chase each other around with this. At $5, this is a steal and will last forever. Like children, moderation, treat rewards and a selection of play toys is best. I take away toys and place out of reach when supervised play is over. The other Chuckit! Ultra Bumper Tug Dog Toy is a hit with the dogs, but this fetch stick is their new favorite. Two rescues with no play experience (Australian Shepard mix & a Whippet mix) have grown to love being outside and playing with these toys together.

Didn't last 5 minutes

I bought this because it was really cheap on sale and I'm constantly looking for toys to keep my super-chewing dog entertained. I didn't expect it to last forever

I bought this because it was really cheap on sale and I'm constantly looking for toys to keep my super-chewing dog entertained. I didn't expect it to last forever since she can and does rip pieces out of a Chuckit ball in about 20 minutes when she puts her mind to it, but I dang well thought it would hold up better than being chewed in half in under literally 5 minutes. She had it dissected so quickly I barely got a picture of her playing with it first! Even a dog chomping on it while they play fetch would probably have it ripped up in a single play session. God forbid you throw it and your dog stops to chew on it, they could swallow a huge piece of it before you get to them. Not recommended at all.

She always goes for it when she wants to play & barks at me to try and get it from her! It makes me LOL! This was a good investment!

Better than expected

First of all, I have 2 pitbull puppies that are hard on toys. We did not use this toy as a Fetch stick, but the dogs used it as a tug-of-war stick. It lasted 6 weeks!

First of all, I have 2 pitbull puppies that are hard on toys. We did not use this toy as a Fetch stick, but the dogs used it as a tug-of-war stick. It lasted 6 weeks! Most toys are needing repaired or trashed in the first week. The only reason it didn't last longer is because after a good tugging round, the "winner" would take it to their bed, and chew on end and a chunk came off. That is when I deemed it no longer safe to play with. Almost every time the dogs went looking for a toy to play with, this was it. I definitely plan on buying more. Would love to find a multi-pack for a discount. This was nearly $6 when I purchased it.

My 6 month old labradoodle puppy adores this stick. It’s great for fetch in the back yard - easy to fling across the yard for maximum tiring out. He also just loves to hold it in his mouth and prance around the yard. I don’t leave it out for him to chew on because he is a big-time chewer, but it’s great for throwing, retrieving, and a little bit of tugging.
