Perfect for older ferrets

I love these bowls so much!!! I've been using the round ones that are the same height all the way around for my ferrets for years. Recently one of my babies that is getting older has stopped putting his feet on the side of the bowl when he eats and started resting his neck on the bowl while he eats. I quickly started looking for a bowl that still attaches to the cage (non-negotiable with ferrets) with a lower edge so he can easily access his food. These are cute and the perfect size and height. I couldn't be happier. I feed raw soupy food 2-3 times daily. I would be willing to assume that, in his younger years, this same ferret would have made a HUGE mess with the kibble I fed before we went raw. He liked to dig in the kibble and even with a high sided bowl it would get all over. If you have a ferret that digs in their kibble this bowl would only make it easier (and more fun for them, I'm sure) to dig and throw kibble all around due to the shape. If you have a ferret that is older, doesn't dig in their food, or you feed wet food these are perfect and the heart shape is so cute.

I actually bought other bowls before purchasing these which didn’t end up working for my ferret. I was extremely happy to see that Chewy issued a refund and encouraged me to donate the bowls to a shelter instead of returning them. These work perfectly and I totally recommend these for those with ferrets who tend to spill their bowls because they stay perfectly attached to the lock. I also loved that the shape of the bowls help my ferret eat more comfortably instead of having to bend her neck to reach into it. All in all, I totally recommend these bowls and purchasing from this company!

I thought this might’ve been a little small based on the pictures but it’s actually the perfect size!!! I got tired of my rattie girls constantly trying to bury their food bowls with litter or tipping them over. I thought these would work well and they do! I chose the pink for my girls. Easily installed on the cage (I have a double Midwest Critter Nation cage). Holds a good amount of food for my 4 girls. I actually got two so they have a bowl on each cage level. The heart shape is very cute. It is plastic, but a very hard, good quality plastic. I've had them almost 2 months, and so far my girls have not chewed them. Recommended.
