My Pomeranian and I have done lots of training together (agility, noseworks, and trick titles) in our 14 years together. Our bond is so healthy and strong and it warms my heart. I have cut up thousand of beef sticks into teeny-tiny little pieces to accomodate training with a 20-pound workaholic and always wished for a healthy treat that comes pre-cut. I love that the first ingredient listed is salmon and is loaded with more items that are healthy and nutritional. I do,however, have an issue with the inclusion of pea flour in this recipe. Pea flour in grain-free dry dof foods has been linked to cardiovascular issues in some dogs. I hesitated to use this product but learned that only high concentrations of pea flour can cause issues, like those in foods and not in snacks. My dog still walks for 1.25 mikes daily and loves to chase toys every evening so these treats are perfect for motivation. If I throw a toy he will stand there and wait for me to get a treat out before he even considers ru ning to fetch the toy. I will continue to use these training treats and highly recommend them.

The ONLY treat my dog will work for!

My dog LOVES these. She is not very food motivated, and easily distracted. These are the only treat that she likes enough to really focus when training—the attention

My dog LOVES these. She is not very food motivated, and easily distracted. These are the only treat that she likes enough to really focus when training—the attention I get from her is wild! We tried the beef ones first, and then when we re-ordered I got the salmon ones for some variety. I was a little worried they would stink, since they are fish. They don’t! They smell almost the same as the beef ones, which is almost like a smoked beef stick scent. They are smelly enough to get her nose’s attention but they definitely don’t smell bad to humans at all! They are small enough for training so I don’t need to break them up (she’s about 45 pounds, and a little underweight) and she can eat them pretty quickly so we aren’t spending time chewing.

My daughter’s finicky dog (a blue healer/lab/pit mix)is extremely picky about his treats. He will only eat soft treats and the smellier the better. My 7 month lab/shepherd mix doesn’t usually care, she likes all treats, so I kept this in mind before ordering these. From the moment I first opened the bag I knew Blu ( my daughter’s dog) was going to enjoy these (they definitely have a salmon smell) but I didn’t expect how much both dogs were going to love them. They went crazy for them, they have been hanging out by the treat drawer most of the evening and their tails really start wagging if I even walk by it. I guess these are making a permanent stay on my auto ship.

My dog loved these treats and I was so excited to find a training treat he liked. Unfortunately, just a few weeks after originally opening the bag, the treats were coated in mold. I re-zipped the bag closed tight at all times and stored them in the same location as all other treats. If you’re going to buy these, just make sure to check for signs of mold before feeding them to your dog each time.

I ordered multiple treats at once including the American journey beef treats and these were definitely their favorite! This is my first purchase of this product and from this brand. Very pleased and will be ordering again. As described, bits are soft and I assume chewy. I like the small size for training. Worth mentioning that my dogs 65lbs and 70lbs. They are not too fussy when it comes to food but I can tell when something is not their favorite. That is NOT the case with these. They like 'em.
