I currently have a Pekingese & also had a small terrier mix, who passed away last fall. For the size of my dogs, these bags are great. They're not expensive, I've had no leakage problems at all, & the bags have never ripped. I can imagine, however, if someone has a Great Dane, Saint Bernard, Labrador, German Shepherd, etc. that these bags might easily be too small. Or more than one bag might be required for picking up one doggie "deposit." But for small or medium size dogs, I can't imagine any problems. I've bought both scented & unscented bags. The smell of the scented bags doesn't seem very strong to me, the scent has never been objectionable. I'm rather sensitive to perfumes, cleaning fluid scents, etc, & the poop bags have never caused a problem for me.

We like very much that these bags are planet-friendly. They're also inexpensive compared to other brands. I have dogs but I mostly use them for waste from the cat

We like very much that these bags are planet-friendly. They're also inexpensive compared to other brands. I have dogs but I mostly use them for waste from the cat litter box. The new kittens we accidentally came home with from the Humane Society will only use clumping litter, unfortunately, and this is the best way I've found to deal with the downside of being a cat owner. An unexpected bonus: the cylinder in the middle of the roll is a very popular cat toy.

I’m a dog walker and I use these over any other brand. I hate bags that are flimsy and you can see the dog poop through. These are strong bags big enough for larger dogs that have larger poop. They tie easily and I’ve never had an issue with these. They are dark so you can’t see through them. I keep buying these.

As someone who has purchased literally thousands of these bags, I find these reviews suspicious. Why are there so many random photos of pets with no bags in sight?

As someone who has purchased literally thousands of these bags, I find these reviews suspicious. Why are there so many random photos of pets with no bags in sight? It screams paid reviews. The bags are just okay. I keep buying them because of the price but I am not happy with them. I usually buy the box with 900 bags. Some batches have as little as 5% that rip, some are more like 15-20%. You never know when the bottom is going to be full of tears. They are very thin, but not as thin as some other brands. As a dog walker, I have tried many different brands. Some are definitely preferable to this one; thicker, longer bags. To me it is even more important to have a longer bag, unless you are only picking up after a very small dog. I will probably keep buying them because they are so cheap.

These are the best poop bags ever! Strong, thick, big. They can hold the big poops! The scent is strong and definitely helps mask the poop odor! My dog uses about 5 of these a day so getting 900 at a reasonable price was great! As far as the dispenser, I too could not get the hanger open to put on the leash, so I bought metal old fashioned shower clips & they work great. These bags make it so much easier to clean up and they aren't see thru and they won't split or tear. Great work Frisco!

Best poop bags we've used

My fur family consists of a 40lb german shepherd puppy and a 100lb husky/malamute senior. The senior usually poops in the woods or in an as private as possible location

My fur family consists of a 40lb german shepherd puppy and a 100lb husky/malamute senior. The senior usually poops in the woods or in an as private as possible location so I don't always pick his up. However, yesterday, he pooped in petsmart. The cashier was so nasty to me while I tried to finish my transaction, clean up the mess, and hold onto my dogs. She nearly made me cry with how she spoke to me. Made me feel like I wasn't good enough and didn't deserve my dogs. Anyways, the bag picked up the whole poop. And it was a LOT. Like I think he lost a pound after that poo. So if you're worried the bags won't work for your big dog, FEAR NOT. Now, the puppy likes to poop right where people pass by or walk or sit near. So I always pick hers up. Nobody wants to see a bunch of piles of poop on their walk. I never have a problem with them ripping and I find that if I hold my breath the whole time, by the time the bag is tied, I don't smell anything. I appreciate the small rolls. I keep one in my car, one in my purse, one by the front door, and some scattered around randomly. The roll fits in my pocket too. I appreciate the cardboard tubing also. Makes me feel like a responsible pet owner to clean up after my dogs in the best way possible for the planet.

In our family we avoid plastic. We didn’t find a good substitute for poop plastic bags yet, but we always shop for biodegradable options and “eco friendly”. I bought another brand and I was disappointed not because the bag, but the middle roll was made of plastic (a little detail that makes a huge difference for us). Frisco was my second try for “eco friendly” bags. And I was happy to find the paper roll in the middle! The entire package is made of paper, and the bags are superior quality. I accidentally bought the lavender scented but I ended linking it. “Eco-Friendly” is not a official certification so be careful when buying products that call themselves eco. But Frisco did their best to archive it! I recommend this product!
