Why did Chewy rebrand this product?
Answer by • Mar 12, 2026
It’s always been Chewy made — now it’s Chewy Made named. For years, we’ve designed, developed, and cared for these products with the same love and expertise we bring to everything at Chewy. By putting our name on the packaging, we’re making it even clearer that these are Chewy’s very own trusted products, built for life with pets. The quality remains the same - just the packaging and brand are updated. These products will now carry the Chewy Made brand. You’ll notice a fresh look on the package, but rest assured — the quality product your pet loves remains inside.
How many carbs does this food have? And how much carbs is too much for a car?
Answer by Megan • Apr 01, 2026
I believe you calculate carbohydrates by adding protein, fat, moisture, fiber, and ash, then subtracting that total from 100. Based on that, the beef and chicken varieties come out to about 2.2% carbs, and the turkey is around 1.45% carbs.
Keep in mind that not all brands include the ash percentage but it's usually around 2-3% for most wet foods.
Cats are obligate carnivores, so they don’t require carbohydrates in their diet. In general, it’s best to keep carbs relatively low—ideally under about 15%. Since my cat is diabetic, I personally stick to foods that are under 10% carbohydrates.
I hope this helps. Please note that I am not a veterinarian or cat nutritionist :)
