How long will the unused portion keep? And does it need to be refrigerated?

An unopened case of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the carton. Prior to opening, we recommend storing cans and plastic trays in a cool, dry environment. Once opened, the unused portion should be refrigerated and fed to your pet within three days.

No more meal stress for me!

I have 3 pugs. The 2 girls would eat shoe leather if I put in their bowls! But my boy? It's been 4 years of trying EVERY kind of food, topper & enhancer out there

I have 3 pugs. The 2 girls would eat shoe leather if I put in their bowls! But my boy? It's been 4 years of trying EVERY kind of food, topper & enhancer out there. I find something that works, and like clockwork, on day 3 he walks away. The only thing he likes consistently is my senior's Royal Canin renal food! So yeah, no. I typically have to keep boiled chicken breast on hand to add to his meal until the next new brand/item arrives from Chewy. Luckily his sister is happy to gobble up the remaining cans or kibble with topper for him. ENTER CESAR! By a fluke I found these, and, with the same dread I (who feels like a dang short order cook) mixed one container in with the expensive gourmet gravy canned food that he turns his nose up to and.... Oh. Em. Gee! It is going on day 5 and he practically licks the shine off his metal bowl! To be fair I also added Tiki Dog Pumpkin Puree on top. I mean, before, even if I added some of the Royal Canin "gravy" from my senior's can, he would literally lick the gravy off of every single meat chunk and walk away. This was a problem cuz I also toss his pill pocket for his epilepsy capsule in his food and 9 out of 10 times this kiddo surgically leaves it behind. Then I am chasing him to shove the blessed thing down his throat which neither of us is fond of, if you can imagine. Look, every dog is different, and it's always hit or miss. But if you have not tried these for your fur kid's uber picky palette, then give it a shot! They are inexpensive and actually pretty small on the portion side but a little goes a long way, and you don't have to adjust your normal food serving by more than a couple tablespoons if you are concerned about weight. Thank you Cesar! Please please please don't discontinue this line!

My dog is such a picky eater, if he could have his way he would love to eat what we eat; not happening for it is not good for them. He as always been a Cesar dog, but he got bored with the other brands and I was going nuts because he hates the other healthy dog food brands. Cesar answered my cry for help with this new healthy line of food. He absolutely loves it and I am happy; the cat also helps herself. I hope they make more variety.

The food is so fresh and it is the perfect amount for our small breed (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). She just had her first heat (so she is still under a year old) and ever since, she has become a more finicky eater. We were using canned chicken (for humans-which is cost efficient) as a food-topper but I couldn't help not giving these a try and they ended up being a hit! I have never seen her chow down on anything more! She LOVES the chicken and the veggies! She looks forward to dinner time now and that makes for a happy household : ) I also love that it's packaged in a ready-to-serve portion which makes it easier for us and I don't have to put any leftovers in the fridge, which is less to do and makes for a happy Dog Mom :D

My dog can be a picky eater (even though you wouldn’t think it by seeing her!). She loves the chicken and having this as a topper helps her get additional nutritional needs met through kibble. My only complaint (which was noted by other reviewers) is packaging. Three of the packets were dry due to being broken. The outside of the box holding the food looked okay as did the box for shipping all items, so it’s hard to know when the breakage takes place. Just something of note because it means your dog can’t eat all that was purchased. I like getting it through Chewy—it’s always available! (Unlike locally) So I hope this issue can be fixed.
