Catit Pixi Cartridge Cat Fountain Filter, 6 count

I used to buy these directly from Catit on a yearly purchase but now that Chewy has them I can get them on subscription and maintain changing the filters on the monthly basis much more easily. My cats love using the Cat fountain

They’re fine, but they need to include instructions on the box. I rinsed the filter, but forgot that you’re supposed to soak it for a few minutes also. So there was a light ring of carbon at the waterline when I changed the fountain water. Not that hard to just print instructions instead of a QR code that’s so small I didn’t notice it even when specifically checking for instructions..

These work pretty well, just make sure you're cleaning the fountain every 30 days or they get yucky. My cats definitely slow down on drinking as the filter is wearing out, then they line up to get water when I change it, so I think it works well.

We own 2 now. Filter needs to be replaced monthly for best use and the components thoroughly cleaned (Catit has a brush set that can be purchased to help keep cat water/filter stuff separate from human items that look the same). The water 'fan' may get gunked up with fine hair (we have silky med hair mixes that get everywhere) and it can wind into the mechanism. It's easy to tell when it's time for a thorough clean because the fountain arch will get lower and lower and disappear. Our cats want their fountain even though they don't drink from it. I believe they smell the difference in the water and what gets caught in the filter (kitty mouth slime) - I wouldn't want to drink my mouth washout either after 30 days :(. Love the low water feature and the low light (nightlight) as one of our cats likes to turn the bowl around to just his liking to drink - moves it around on the floor, not fun to kick in the middle of the night.
