I saw a very similar product that was well over $100 and offered a discount code that still didn’t bring the price down to what this level was but it did get me thinkingand searching and I looked at a number of options and I like this one the best, very well-made, no sound whatsoever, and I saw that my kitten easily adapted to drinking from this. It first approached it out of curiosity and then it started to drink from and I was worried about their water consumption before and now I have no worries about it. I don’t think I will ever use a waterbowl again. This definitely is going to be well used. I also did purchase the filter pack with this purchase so I should be good to go about three months if you average out the changing of the filters and keeping the fountain clean. It arrived on Christmas Eve. So fast delivery securely packaged, and I feel better knowing that I don’t have to worry about any microorganisms or water borne illnesses.

I bought this to replace an aging plastic water fountain after I noticed one of my cats was developing chin acne pretty bad. This new fountain is sleek, quiet, and deceptively small (when I took it out of the package I thought there was no way it held as much water as it does). And I love the little porthole style window in the front that allows me to see the water level at a glance. Easy to clean. The real test, however, is the cats, and they seem to love it. Matz's chin is healing up, and both cats are drinking from it noticeably more often.

Ok , my big boy loves his fountains , but theres never been one I've had that I would call " easy to clean" . But this is the quietest fountain I've ever had . And I think that's due to the way the pump is suspended from the lid, it does not suction cup to the bottom or fit inside it's on little filter container inside the fountain that suction cups to the bottom of the pan , and I think that's what reduces the vibration and equals to nearly silent operation . It also has a little light which shines through the window that is a nice touch .

Fountain has been up and running for a week. His Royal Furness likes it. I like it’s dishwasher safe, easy to take apart to clean, the filters dont cost and arm and a leg to replace and it has nice esthetics. It’s go a decent width which I’ve learned is good for whisker stress. (I did not know whisker stress is a thing but apparently it is.. so his very longer whiskers must be singing in happiness). I like backlit water so even in dim light I can catch it easily should the water level get lower. I like the top is enclosed all told I can’t find anything to be less than happy about. Very happy with fountain and would recommend.

My only complaint is 34.99 just 1 penny from free shipping. Either stop the free shipping, or give free shipping. It's not that hard. Putting the price 1 cent to make you buy something else to me is just a scam. The 4.95 shipping is cheaper than buying something else and leaves a sour taste in my wallet. Being on a fixed income 5 bucks is 5 bucks even though it's 4.95 that's 5 bucks.

Impossible to clean

I really wanted to upgrade my plastic fountain to a steel one for hygienic reasons. Although I do think the material is cleaner, the components of the fountain make it impossible to truly clean. The bowl, top, and “straw” are no problem especially since it comes with a little wire brush. Unfortunately, the pump itself has a bunch of crevices, overlapping pieces, holes, etc. It is made of plastic and develops slime, and even with the wire brush or QTips there is just no way to get into most of the nooks and crannies. I am having to change the water and clean all of the pieces every week, and even then I’m not confident that this is clean or safe. Also, the top of the water fountain is large and exposed, making it a lot easier for dust and hair to fall in. It also means water evaporates faster.

Sadly I have lost 2 cats to renal failure over the years. I have always kept their water in stainless steel bowls and cleaned them every day providing fresh water daily and it still happened. The Veterinarians could not tell me why it happened because I was doing everything right... or so I thought. This fountain is amazing, and does everything it says it will! I am shocked at how quiet it is. T-Rex drinking makes far more noise than the fountain. I honestly thought he was drinking fine until I read an article about cats needing to drink from moving water. I know now that he wasn't drinking enough because as soon as I plugged in the fountain, he started drinking and it shows in his litter box too. I wish I had bought one (or three), years ago! For such minimal cost, everyone with a pet should have at least one. Having to put a beloved cat down to stop suffering is something I would not wish on anyone. This is a must have.

This is a good quality stainless steel fountain. It was easy to assemble and add the filters. It's completely silent. I have numerous cats, so I bought two. I was disappointed initially because I thought I had bought the cordless version. I'm not sure why I chose this one over the other as they were very similar. The cord is fine and long-term may be easier since I don't have to charge it and worry about it dying since this is always plugged in. My main issue is that the lid is removable by my cat. I chose a new fountain because she kept dumping my other one. This version she is able to pull or push the lid so that it pops out spilling water. I have placed all their water fountains in a tray with sides, but she still gets water in the floor. Sounds like a cat problem, but it would be nice if this fountain had a locking clip on the sides to prevent unwanted removal as I'm sure I'm not the only one with a cat that likes to play in the water and/ or stand on the platform.
