All of CANIDAE's ingredients are sourced within the U.S.A. with exception of duck from France, and lamb from New Zealand.

There will be approximately 4 cups per pound of kibble. The 4 pound bag will have close to 16 cups, the 12 pound bag close to 48 cups and the 24 pound bag close to 96 cups.

Extra Sensitive Fur Baby

I have a 9 year old German Shepherd with a high sensitivity to grains and I'm not sure what else. After a sad painful visit to the vets office and one very expensive prescription dog food later we finally got his belly feeling better. However I knew there had to be another way to keep his belly happy. We were able to cut out the prescription food to blue basics. Unfortunately now that he is 9 he needed a senior food which is not offered in that brand. After a bunch of research I bought this food. It has been @ 3 months since we switched and I am excited to say It more then worked for him! Not only did it not irritate his stomach but it increased his energy, his coat is super soft and he seems less stiff in his joints! I have been debating on switching our 5year old Aussie even though she not a senior yet!

Our senior golden retriever has an extremely sensitive stomach, to the point that she was constantly in and out of the vet for months. We have had her on this food for a little over a year and it is the only thing that hasn’t caused her to get sick or gain/lose too much weight. She just turned 14 this month and she’s thriving. The vet can’t believe how healthy she is.

Unbelievable.....

My 13 year old Schnauzer was diagnosed as a diabetic about 10 months ago so the vet recommended that I put her on a canned grain free diet. Strict 12 hr. feedings

My 13 year old Schnauzer was diagnosed as a diabetic about 10 months ago so the vet recommended that I put her on a canned grain free diet. Strict 12 hr. feedings and 8.5 insulin 2x a day. Her blood sugar stabilized but then she developed diabetic skin lesions and chronic pancreatitis. It has been an emotional and financial nightmare. I was to the point of considering putting her down. I started researching pancreatitis and the kind of diet that she needed to be on to reduce it. Long story short..This dog food was a answered prayer. I feed her 3/4 cup kibbles soaked in warm water mixed in with a teaspoon of canned pure organic pumpkin twice a day. I also leave a small bowl of dry kibble that she can snack on if her blood sugar gets low. In one month we have reduced her insulin to 5 insulin 2x day and her skin lesions are shrinking. Most importantly no pancreatitis. I am very satisfied with this product. I wish I had of found it sooner.

Our 17 year old Westie had been losing weight and was very lethargic and stumbling a lot in recent months. Now...she IS very old and quite rickety. However, she still perks up from time to time, loves to go out, has a great appetite, and still puts other dogs in their place when they're encroaching on her personal space. However, within 2 weeks of starting this food, she felt plumper and seems cognitively brighter. We have fed her Blue Buffalo for at least the last 8 years. No problem with the transition. We didn't even mix the two. We just stopped with one and went to the next. Bowel movements were solid and she seems to like the taste as well. We will keep her and her younger sister on this diet until it is her time to go. But for now, this brand has seemingly improved her functioning. We'll take it!

Healthy & Best Price for the dollar

It is very difficult to find a healthy senior dog food with High protein, lower fat, a good amount of omega 3/6, chrondroitin, glucosamine, calcium, and other vitamins

It is very difficult to find a healthy senior dog food with High protein, lower fat, a good amount of omega 3/6, chrondroitin, glucosamine, calcium, and other vitamins. This is it! I fed my dog Precise Naturals and when the company owner passed away, so did the product. I had to find another good for my 12 y/o large mix breed. I’ve found it. She loves it; she’s a healthy weight, shiny soft coat, and energetic. If your hesitant, I was too, but so glad this was what I went chose for her. It’s small pebbles (~1/4 inch/4-5mm). Bonus, a little bit of water makes a semi-gravy like coating. 60lb dog eats 2.5-2.75 cups a day and she has high activity. Hope his review helps.

My retired K9 partner (Belgian Mainois) is about 3 months from his 12th birthday. In the past few months it seemed his normal food wasn’t quite agreeing with his digestive system. After researching various brands I tried this product. I took about 10 days to transition him from his old food. Once he was solely on this food his digestive system seemed to go back to normal overnight. It still takes me some adjusting because the serving size isn’t very large and I feed him half in the morning and half in the evening. I worried the small serving wouldn’t fill him up resulting in me feeding him more but that isn’t the case. He gets a cup and half in the morning and two cups in the evening and never acts hungry. Waste is almost a quarter of what it was and no longer wet and runny. This product is a little pricy but basing it off the serving size and how happy he seems with it this seems to be a cheaper option using this product. I haven’t used nearly as much of this as I would have his old food.

My 12 lbs Japanese Chin turned 9 this year and has been having severe GI issues. I had awoken many tights to runny stools all over my beautiful white rug. I had tried adding pumpkin to her food, decreasing the quantity and changing around meal times and she was still not doing well. I also noticed she was lethargic and sleeping all day. I decided to switch her this to food and I saw IMMEDIATE improvement...THE VERY SAME DAY! No more mucus, runny stools. She is much more visibly happy, energetic and playful. Her stools are firm and healthy. I also noticed her coat is shiny and soft. I am so happy I decided to make the switch. I didnt even have to ween her off her old food that shes been on for 5 or so years. I highly recommend the senior formula for older dogs.

Tried the "all life stages" and did not think I would be able to get through the bag.Being concerned about weight management now I tried the "pure meadow senior" and Bruno just gobbles right down.It has a nice meaty aroma to it and not that cardboard smell! We also use it for treats in training and as rewards. Keeping him at a steady 95 lbs.
