When I read that there were probiotics in this litter that would help keep bacteria and odor down for up to 30 days I swirled my eyes and thought to myself, “what will they come up with next to market something as simple as kitty litter?” I don’t know why I decided to try it because I am the type that sticks to what works and doesn’t fall for hype but I did and boy am I ever glad I did! I’m getting close to day 30 (still doing daily scooping and adding new litter to top off) and it still smells as fresh as day 1. In case I was nose-blind I’ve asked several friends and family to go near the kitty box and take an honest sniff test and they all report zero odor. In fact a few have confessed that my house smells better. Just between you and me I am tempted to break every rule in the book and see how long I can go with the current scoop & replace method. I know, I’m cheap and a bad cat mom but this stuff is better than anything I’ve ever used before and it truly doesn’t stink. We will see what I decide when I reach the 30 day mark. Even if I do decide to toss it and restart then I’ve still saved a bundle of money and back-breaking labor not having to do weekly or bi-weekly full box changes. Get some, it’s GREAT!

I have had multiple cats for over 25 years and one of the biggest challenges I have is finding a great cat litter. I tried Boxiepro and here are the pros and cons as I see it. The cats gravitated to the new litter and used it more than the other litter, so I am assuming that they approved of it. I approved of it due to the clumping power. The urine clumps were very hard and did not break apart when scooping. Another thing I appreciated was that there was not much of an odor from the box after 1 1/2 weeks. And, the dust while scooping and pouring was minimal which is a big plus with multiple boxes in the house. The only con for me is the packaging. The instructions are to cut the edge of the plastic bag and pour, then reseal with the sticker on the bag. The sticker didn't really seal the bag and was kind of a pain to use, so putting the litter in a plastic bin with a lid solved the problem.

It clumps way tighter and quicker than anything else I’ve tried. I really do end up using less so the price sort of offsets itself and the ease of scooping makes it worth it. I used to buy two 20 lb jugs of tidy cat a month but can get by on a single 28lb bag of this without issues. It does track, but I care more about smell and clumping/ease of scooping so it’s not a big deal. I vacuum every day anyways and a good litter mat (I use a shaggy bath mat) helps tremendously. The cats also prefer it over tidy cat. I have two boxes and when I switched I just cleared out and replaced one and they refused to use the other one with Tidy Cat until I caved and got a second bag of Boxie.

I have been receiving this product from Chewy for ages and it is being packaged damaged and opened. The boxes are in great shape when delivered, the box is completely sealed, but once opened you are likely to find opened product. Litter spread all over the bottom and this time both sides of the bag of litter were opened, there was a slash in the bag and I can say with certainty that it was placed in the box that way for shipment. I had to cancel my auto shipment

I hope it was just this batch

I adopted my first kitten earlier this year. After growing up with my mom that hates cats, and always said cats make the house stink, I tried a few cat litters trying to find one that kept the smell under control. I started with a corn based litter that I loved, until my cat started eating it. And that made his poop stink way more. I tried some clay litters, and they either did a bad job with odors, or they were incredibly dusty. Then I tried Boxie. The granules were smoother than other clay litters I tried, and it wasn’t dusty! I scoop the box everyday, and it clumped well, and controlled odor more than most I tried. I thought, “This is it! This is the litter I’ve been looking for!” So I subscribe to it. This last time I got it, the granules looked smaller and tinted yellow. It looks like it was exposed to moisture. It doesn’t do nearly as well with odor, and its clumping ability is awful. And I have to scrape pee clumps that went thought all the way to the bottom, and then it sticks really bad to my scoop, so now I have to scrape the litter mash out of the slots in the scoop. I do honestly believe this batch was just mishandled somewhere along the line. I hope so, because I really liked this litter the previous times I bought it.

I received 2 bags of litter that were both cut or torn by the pour spout leaking litter in and out of the box they were packaged in. I don't have a reliable way to weigh the packages to see how much litter leaked out. There was a small scattering of litter on the porch and a little more than that remaining in the box. I like boxiecat pro litter, but receiving it like this may put me off buying it from Chewy.

The bag the litter comes in is sturdy plastic, but it’s not easy to close up a curved cut opening with such a small sticker. The litter looks and feels like the other litter we’ve used, but doesn’t have a scent (which I would prefer if it was scented because it helps with odor - I have 5 cats, and their litter boxes are cleaned twice a day). Overall it’s as good of a product as my other litter, but a plus of this product is that it seems to have no, or low, dust, when pouring into the box.🙂👍

I’ve never bought fancy litter. For decades, the cheap stuff was fine because it worked, but when I got a self-cleaning litter box, I realized I’d have to change because the amount of dust the cheap stuff produced was making it hard to breathe. I saw reviews on this and gave it a shot specifically because it was recommended for being low dust in self-cleaning litter boxes. I am not one to write reviews, but this is great and will continue to keep buying. Obviously it works and is low dust, but what surprised me is that I actually save money over the cheap stuff because I only have to throw out clumped litter. With the cheap stuff and a regular stainless steel litter pan, I’d have to replace all the litter every month or so, but with this, I can just keep adding more and not have to dump the whole thing out. I still clean the litter box, obviously, but I put the “clean but used” litter in a bag while I do it. I decided to take a whiff of the litter in the bag that my 2 cats have been using for 4 months and it smelled perfectly fine, so I can put it back in the litter box after I clean it. This stuff lasts so much longer than the cheap stuff and it clumps better too. I came for the low dust and stayed for the value.

I started using this 2 months ago and it was really good with a traditional litter box. Then I got a litter robot. This litter is good, it still tracks (what litter doesn't), but it was manageable. Recently there have been two issues. One, the past two orders or so with Chewy, the packages have arrived opened. When I would open the package, there would be spilled litter inside and the bag itself was not ripped, but cleanly opened with tape put on top but not sealed. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing thing or what, but it ends up with litter everywhere. Chewy was awesome and sent me another bag, but it is weird that this has happened twice now. Two, I've noticed a new type of tracking with this litter. There are paw prints from the litter that are appearing on my floor. It is from what I can only assume, my cats stepping on the wet litter and it leaving the equivalent of mud prints all over my floor! It is not just dust, trust me, it is some sort of dried clay substance that takes a decent amount of effort to clean off. It has only started happening within the past month. I though maybe my litter level was too low, but more litter did not fix the issue. I'm not sure if the formula has been changed or it is something else. I will continue to use this bag, but will most likely be looking for a new litter.

I feel the stench control feature was great! However, I feel like the litter once clumped is too heavy. When I was using this litter I had nothing but problems with my litter robot getting “stuck” when cycling. If I ran a second cycle right after all of the clumps were gone, there were no issues. Additionally, I felt like this litter really clung to the liner of the box and was really hard to chisel off meaning it regularly didn’t dump the clumps and clean the box periodically which is the point of an automatic litter box. That being said, I rated it high because I think if I had a traditional box and was doing the hand scoop every day, it would be great. I did really enjoy the smell protection and the litter itself did not have a weird smell as some often do.
