No doubt, best decision ever

I write to you with happy tears. I know, you probably think that I am a big softy. Well, normally I'm not. But today, I am. My German Shepherd, Dale, was raised on "Another popular brand". Yeah, I know what you are going to say. But our last dog ate it the last half of her life and lived to be 13. To make a long story short, my dog Dale would eat "another popular brand" wet mixed in to the same companies dry, twice a day. For treats, we gave him naturally smoked bison knuckles as well as Milk bones. He would vomit up yellow bile in the morning and we couldn't figure out why. We thought it was the bones. No rawhide or bad stuff - no people food except meat or eggs. So, what could it be that was causing him to vomit bile in the morning or in the middle of the night? I wasn't sure. But I knew that these "wet foods" from that other company had pasta, rice, chicken and beef by products and nothing a dog would eat in the wild. So I stopped feeding him that stuff and went with this wet food. He's on his 7th can and he eats ALL his food EVERY single time - where as before, he would pick at it and finally eat mots of it because he was starving. No bad breath, no gastro issues that I can tell and no vomiting this past week. Then after reading about a recent lawsuit against a certain company, I was horrified! So, I just purchased two large bags of Blue Buffalo Wilderness dry to go with the Blue Buffalo Wilderness WET cans. Yes, it's more money - but do we eat at the dollar menu at the fast food restaurant every single day and if we did, would we be healthy? No. So, he's worth it. Buy this food - if you care about having your furbaby around for a very long time, you will.

EXCELLENT FOOD, SMASHED AND DENTED UP CANS

I have repeatedly received cases of this via auto ship where the cans were all smashed up. Not a few, almost all. The boxes didn’t look bad but the cans were awful

I have repeatedly received cases of this via auto ship where the cans were all smashed up. Not a few, almost all. The boxes didn’t look bad but the cans were awful. It makes a person worry about botulism. 1 time is an error. 3 orders of cases makes a pattern. I’ll buy no more from Chewy.

I have a 6 year old miniature poodle who has always been underweight (8 lbs.) and a 3 year old miniature dachshund who is overweight (30 lbs). Over the years I’ve tried various types of foods. The poodle has lost some teeth and has never liked or been able to eat kibble. In addition, she has a sensitive stomach. The dachshund on the other hand will eat pretty anything. A few months ago, I started giving them the beef meat rolls that I purchased from Chewy. They initially liked it but then more recently turned their noses up when I fed them. I knew that I needed to find another food for them. So I decided to try the Blue Buffalo wet dog food. They absolutely love this stuff. What's more, my poodle has sprung to life since I started feeding them this food. She’s starting to fill out and has a ton of new found energy. As for my dachshund, I’ve got her on a diet and I feed both dogs equal portions each day (1/2 can each). They’re both satisfied and happy dogs. The dog food is a little on the pricy side, but well worth it to have my pups happy and healthy.

they eat it

I adopted a Dorkie from a shelter, he was skin and bones plus respiratory infection and pneumonia. Two weeks+ of antibiotics and cough medicine, nutrition paste since he wasn't eating. Now he is doing better and ordered blue buffalo small dog kibble & can meat to fatten him up. He scarfs it down! Only problem is my other dog is over weight, so my solution was to get her the weight control kibble and for the new pup small dog kibble but both get the can mixed in. Suessee (over weight) was not eating the kibble until she was famished, but since adding the can meat she is eating it all up. Since this is only meat, no grains, no fillers, I am hoping it won't mess up her weight loss plan! The new pup (Sarge) is on a kibble to add weight and the meat should just add protein. My plan anyway. But they both gobble up their meal with this meat added and no bowel problems or upchucking.

If you think of your dog or cat as family, feed them like family

"If you think of your dog or cat as family, feed them like family", I got this little dog a few months agothe vet thinks she was a puppy mill dog, she is older 7 years but such a sweet loving dog she would let you pet her all day if you wanted to. I knew because she had been so neglected she deserved the best I could do for her and that started with her food. You could see the smile on her face when I feed her Blue Buffalo beef and chicken, it really smells good enough for humans to eat. When I got her she had a sore on her nose that would not heal when I switched to this food the sore healed or at least I think it was the food because as soon as I started feeding her blue Buffalo the sore started to close up. I will never go back to another dog food, I am retired and on a fixed income so this dog food was a little pricey for me but I will give up a few things to make sure she eats well for the rest of her life.

I have four furbabies since I recently had to let go of my oldest and dearest friend who took care of me and my diabetes. They run from a 90 lb lab to a 12 lb maltepoo. They love this food and eat every drop of it. I mix it with their dry kibble and they heartily eat it up. The reason for not giving 5 stars is the meat is covered in a preservative (I think) and I scrape it off before serving. I know they can eat it but I prefer to take it off. If I had my choice, it would not have it! And although this review is about Blue Buffalo, I want to add that I am an even happier Chewy customer since they opened their Dallas warehouse and my orders are delivered the next day!! Now, I have converted my entire family to Chewy since we don't have to do a thing but bring in the Chewy box and serve!

My owner was feeding me the same old puppy chow kibbies since I was a pup. Now that I'm a grown up German Shepard I was bored with this treatment. So, I stopped eating. He tried this, tried that and I still wouldn't eat. Sure, I ate just enough to keep my manly figure. Finally, he put this Wild Wilderness Blue Buffalo on my plate. Well, let me just say this. Oh God, I was in Heaven. This stuff is great. I feel like a man again. Lots more energy and my coat, well the girls are looking at me again. Thanks Chewy. Leo

Expensive - High Quality

This Chicken and Beef dog food is excellent if your animal is used to getting real meat in their meals, and still needs something they will eat. This dog food is 4.19 a pound. Frying up most meats is a lot cheaper, however... If your dog is young, active, underweight, or undergoing training and needs a high amount of fat and protein to make up for the workouts, this dog food is good. If you are concerned about meat by-products and want a by-product free food, this dog food is good. If your dog has been spitting out their pills, this dog food is good. And if your dog has or is a breed at risk for a heart condition that means they shouldn't have pea protein -- this is one of the few pea protein free options. If you are a working professional or vegetarian, and it is easier to buy dog food than fry up meat, this dog food is good. If you have multiple dogs, and need something one of your dogs will finish before nosing in the other dog's bowl, this dog food is possibly good depending on the size of your dog's ego.

Dog mom & parrot mom

My nearly 13yo white golden retriever has been on dry blue wilderness red meat food since 8wks old and has been 100% healthy her entire life. This year she began to refuse to eat as much and lost a lot of weight. The vet found a mass on her side/abdomen and biopsy said cancer. It was inoperable so I took her home to spoil her. I bought this canned food to add to her dry and she loved it. I got her to eat two heaping cups of dry plus a whole can of wet mixed together. She put a lot of her weight back on and miraculously her tumor began to shrink. I can report that her tumor is now gone, she is maintaining her weight, and continues to love this food. Don't know if cancer was a misdiagnosis or it just miraculously disappeared, but I'm happy either way. She has some teeth problems for the first time in her life, but I spoon feed her the food and she wolfs it down faster than I can scoop it up. This works for both of us. My other 3 dogs were jealous, of course, and didn't want their food (also blue wilderness red meat dry food) unless I added a spoon full or two to their bowls, so now all 4 get some of it and I need to order it by the case. 9yo Morky, 2yo Morky, and 4mo old goldendoodle, all 100% healthy! Chewy has been excellent with rapid delivery, cheaper than grocery store, and always in stock. 100% recommended!
