Annabelle is a 3-year-old, rescue poodle who demonstrates digestive problems. Eventually, we found food (purchased through Chewy) that worked best for her needs. As a result, I was concerned to try this product but decided to see what fresh food could offer. I substituted 1/3 of each daily serving with the Blue Buffalo and Annabelle could not get to the bowl fast enough. In addition to loving it, she did not experience any digestive issues. Because Annabelle is only 10 pounds, and her food intake is low, using the entire bag within a week was impossible to do. My suggestion is to only defrost the amount your dog would use in the time frame recommended to avoid spoilage.

My dogs absolutely loved this food! As soon as I opened the bag they were excited, and when I put their bowls down they practically raced each other to it. They were even trying to sneak bites from each other’s bowl because they liked it so much. I also like the ingredients — it starts with real chicken and includes wholesome things like brown rice, carrots, peas, flaxseed, and even blueberries and cranberries, which makes me feel good about what I’m feeding them. It seems like a really balanced recipe with added vitamins and nutrients. The packaging was excellent — the food arrived well-packed in dry ice and stayed properly frozen with no mess or leaks. That gave me confidence the product was shipped safely and stayed fresh. Another thing I noticed is how well my dogs handled it—no upset stomachs and they cleaned their bowls every time. That’s always a win in my house. If your dogs are picky eaters or you want something with quality ingredients that they’ll actually be excited about, this one is definitely worth trying. Mine clearly approve!

I wanted to move to a fresh pet option for my dogs, and I found that the blue buffalo meatballs were a perfect combination of freshfood while frozen for shelf life. I followed the instructions where you thaw them overnight and put them in your refrigerator. The shelf life is 7 days once thawed. I served them to my three dogs two springer spaniels and one Manchester . They absolutely loved them. the meatballs smell like real food. They enjoyed them and I would recommend them to anyone looking at a fresh food option.

These were a Hit with our doodle! The feeding instructions are very easy to understand, our doodle is considered a small based on their feeding guide. It makes it easy to portion out what we give her each day. They are the perfect size for either a meal topper or just as the occasional snack, and she really enjoys them. The extra vitamins and minerals are another plus so we can make sure she’s getting everything she needs each day. The only thing that is a bit of a pain is having to thaw a bag before use. It’s really very minor with the amount in the bag. We use ours as a meal topper/ treats so one bag goes quite far! Definitely would still buy this in the future.
