I can’t say enough great things about Blue Buffalo Made Fresh dog food. My dachshund has always been an incredibly picky eater, so finding something she genuinely gets excited about has been a challenge—until now. From the very first serving, she absolutely loved it and now eagerly finishes every meal, which is something I never thought I’d see! What really sets this food apart for me is the quality and transparency. I love knowing exactly what’s in her bowl—real, fresh ingredients that I can recognize and feel good about feeding her. I have never seen my dog run to their food bowl so fast, or lick their clean bowl so hard. We use it as a topper (1/4 cup) each night. I deducted a point for no chicken-free options. Even the beef one has chicken as a top ingredient. Chicken is a top allergen for dogs, and one of our dogs cannot have it. I like that I can premeasure and thaw so that we aren’t rushed to go through the whole bag. The sizing of each piece is good. Overall, very happy for our one dog who gets their special treat (the other one gets something else for their treat 😉).

3 dogs all concur. They love Blue Buffalo Love Made Fresh. I'm using it as a topper and it is easily their favorite. They know the sound of the bag and get excited at mealtime. Even one of our older dogs who sometimes bulks at eating breakfast has shown renewed interest when she sees it in her bowl. I do want to note one thing and I'm not sure if it matters, but if I had a diabetic pet, I would check with my veterinarian to see if it's okay to feed because cane molasses is listed as an ingredient.

They’re soft, easy to break apart, and smell much fresher than typical canned dog food. The 1.5-lb pouches are really convenient and make feeding time simple without a lot of mess. My dog gets excited every time I open a pouch and finishes the bowl right away. I also like that it’s fully cooked and made with natural ingredients from a brand I trust. I've been using this mainly as a topper and mix in. I also like to give it to them a little treat. The meatballs are easily chewable once defrosted. They have been well received by both of our dogs. I am surprised how much comes in 1 order. I was also concerned about the shipping, but the dry ice kept the order ice cold with no issues.

Dogs like them as a frozen treat

We got some of these to try during a promotion where we got a significant discount with purchase of our normal Blue Buffalo dry food. They arrived in great shape

We got some of these to try during a promotion where we got a significant discount with purchase of our normal Blue Buffalo dry food. They arrived in great shape due to being shipped with dry ice which was wonderful. At first, we defrosted a whole bag and tried feeding it as a meal or meal topper. They didn't gobble them up like we thought they would. We tried feeding them as treats from the fridge. Not too excited. In fact, we had to throw out about 1/3 of a bag because it says to use within 7 days of defrosting. We were probably 10-11 days out and still had 1/3 bag left. Today, I opened a 2nd bag to break it up into smaller freezer bags so we didn't waste as much if we defrosted it. Turns out, they loved the little balls as frozen treats! Each dog ate probably 10 meatballs as I tossed them out while I filled the smaller bags. We decided we will keep them frozen and give them as cool treats in our AZ hot weather.
