All my birds (parakeets and finches) refused to touch this. I admit I didn’t realize it wasn’t natural cuttlebone but some formed block of minerals. Anyway as soon

All my birds (parakeets and finches) refused to touch this. I admit I didn’t realize it wasn’t natural cuttlebone but some formed block of minerals. Anyway as soon I as I replaced it with real cuttlebone they threw themselves at it and my apartment filled with the noise of scraping and pecking. I will never buy this again, there’s no substitute for the real thing!

Not a Cuttlebone

I ordered these and either missed the description explaining these are not true cuttlebones, or that was not well described. This may be an excellent cuttlebone

I ordered these and either missed the description explaining these are not true cuttlebones, or that was not well described. This may be an excellent cuttlebone substitute for birds, it does not do the trick for turtles. They dissolve and foul the water when the turtle takes it into the turtle pond. Neither the snails nor the shrimp found the e-cuttlebone appealing, and the dissolved cuttlebone substitute negatively affected water quality. Unlike regular cuttlebones, these are not abrasive enough to keep a turtle's beak trimmed. They may be effective for bird beaks, I can't recommend them as an acceptable alternative for turtles.

these cuttlebones are individually wrapped. they have a hard, very smooth surface. the first ingredient listed is “ cuttlebone fish powder”. i believe these

these cuttlebones are individually wrapped. they have a hard, very smooth surface. the first ingredient listed is “ cuttlebone fish powder”. i believe these are manufactured into something like cuttlebone, but they are not the natural cuttlebone made from the cuttle fish. i scrape the surface to help the birds use it. they still don’t like it.

I’ve purchased this brand before from another company. I’ve been using it for years for my turtle. She loves it ! Does leave a ring around her tank that I have to scrape off when I clean her tank. Safe for my turtle and safer for me. No hard backing that is very sharp I have to remove.

When I received this item I had a previous appointment with my vet and took it to her to ask what she thought about it. She looked up information she could find and thought this product to by ok to give my bird. Otherwise I would have returned it. I just prefer natural.

Not the best for Aquatic Turtles

If you’re looking for cuttlebone for your aquatic turtle this is not the product to use. It doesn’t float on top of the water and instead just sinks to the bottom
