Let's clear up the size controversy

I was afraid to purchase this harness because of all the negative reviews regarding sizing issues and I was afraid it would be made cheap because of the price.

I was afraid to purchase this harness because of all the negative reviews regarding sizing issues and I was afraid it would be made cheap because of the price. So here's the scoop. If you truly measure your dog properly and use the sizing chart properly, I don't see how you could go wrong. However, my dog is a 38 pound beagle/pit mix (we think) and she took a size XLarge based on her measurements. It fits fine except there is a little gap on the arm/shoulder area but my dog is shaped weird so I don't blame the harness. She probably won't be able to gain any weight, the Velcro just lines up with no room. It is not made cheap at all. My dog tugs hard and it has held up fine. It looks nice and I love the double fasten (Velcro and clip) on the back. My neighbor even commented on what a nice harness it was. At first I didn't like that the clip strap is loose (to fit a hand under it) but after using it and having to grab her with the strap, I now know that it comes in handy. It twists a little while walking but not bad. My dog is not good on a leash so again, not sure if it's just my dog. I recommend.

Good Harness, not made to hold back Clifford

And by Clifford, I mean Clifford the big red dog. We purchased this harness a few months ago for our 65 lb Golden Retriever. It worked great until it was put to the test this weekend. Our girl is 10 months and 100% puppy. We were camping and had her tied up with the harness on the tie out. 3 other puppies walked by and her excitement level went through the roof. She darted, forgot she was tied up and ripped right through the harness. I’m talking the buckles ripped right off through the mesh, flying through the air, ripped through the harness, and she was free. My heart sank, I knew my loving girl was only going to run over to play but oh my I could only imagine the terror the other woman with the 3 dogs was experiencing. Until Maggie did her signature roll over on her back to be petted. Then my horror suddenly turned to terror, oh my what if one of those dogs isn’t so friendly. Now my puppy is laying on her back with potentially 3 ferocious dogs around her. That was not the case she jumped up and there were 4 tails wagging so hard out of excitement. I was sure this lady was going to rip me a new one for being a bad dog mom and letting that happen but she was very understanding and laughed about it. All in all this harness was great, I’m sad it’s gone, but it probably saved my dog’s life. Had she been tied on a collar, she may have done some serious damage to herself. I’m giving the harness a 5/5 rating. It was not designed to hold back Clifford (aka Maggie) the big red dog (aka Golden) running 100 miles per hour tied to a very sturdy tie out. It would be excellent for simple walks. :) *this review was written it 100% good spirits and for fun* this product is great and if you are looking into buying it, I would recommend doing so. The Velcro is strong and I liked that both sides had a ring on each side of the clip in case the Velcro had come off. Here is a picture of the little devil after the incident.

Chanel for pups..!

I absolutely love this and Roxie is VERY happy --I have to say that the main reason I bought this was because it resembles a little Chanel vest (pink with black piping), but there are a couple things the manufacturer really needs to..adjust. I won't say fix because they aren't anything that's 'wrong', per se, but they are undesirable. Firstly they have a HUGE plastic latch to fasten it over the velcro (which would be OK on a large dog, but on a small dog, it not only looks dumb, but doesn't fit and it's completely unnecessary; a 10 to 15 lb dog does not need the clip; the velcro is QUITE sufficient). I immediately removed it. Secondly there's that big label on the front (on the chest) which is really ugly.. I removed that before I even took off the latch! The pink with black piping appearance I'm fairly sure is no accident -the manufacturer knows full well that it resembles a Chanel dress- I'm actually having a Chanel logo embroidered on it for Roxie (because that was the whole reason I bought it in the first place!), so the very least they could do is leave off that nasty black label (which is exactly where the Chanel label is being embroidered, lol)..

I’m a senior and I don’t see well and I accidentally ordered the wrong food for my dogs. Customer service was awesome. They corrected it and the correct food was delivered in two days and the incorrect bag was taken to our local animal shelter. I made sure that they knew it was donated by Chewy. While I was there I noticed a big stack of Chewy boxes stacked up on the floor. I love Chewy.

Don Julio and Juanita are just the cutest in their little matching vests. They are going through their terrible twos, as we would call it, and we have to put them on leashes so they don't run away and frolic. They are super comfortable for them and don't bite into the underarms. I love that they are adjustable, and the snaps are safely away from puppy fur and skin so they don't pinch. Once they get older, Don Julio and Juanita will be outfitted with larger ones to keep their fashion statement going.

Durable and Supportive

Highly recommend for dogs who pull even a little big! This harness is durable, supportive and kind - my dog sometimes pulls when walking especially when she wants

Highly recommend for dogs who pull even a little big! This harness is durable, supportive and kind - my dog sometimes pulls when walking especially when she wants to greet people or other dogs so the strap and the clip on are helpful to keep her steady when walking while still greeting others! Also glad that the harness fits her perfectly so I don't have to worry about her getting out of it (being too loose) or hurting her (being too tight). She does not run away from this harness which is a relief because she did not like any of her prior harnesses! So I guess this was the magic one for her :) As FYI: my dog is a jack russell terrier (on the small size) - she is 14-16lbs and she was a medium in this harness. Also, I got the purple and black color one and it's nice!

My dog was right in between large and extra large after measuring. I got the large because there was no extra large in stock and it fits her snug as a bug- she's got no room to get fatter but that's okay she's on a diet anyway haha. Stick closely to the measurements and know there's not a lot of wiggle room as the harness can't be adjusted for different sizing. Also keep in mind the sizing is for small dogs so an extra large is going to be like a big Boston terrier, not a Great Dane- that's confused me at first until I took measurements. The construction is very good and the padding seems very comfortable. My dog loves walking in it and absolutely can't slip out of it at all so major plus there. I like the reflecting tape but wish it was thicker to be more noticeable.

Small into medium

I went through quite a few harnesses before landing on this one and I’m so glad I found it. I rescued my min pin chihuahua mix at 5 months old and because of her

I went through quite a few harnesses before landing on this one and I’m so glad I found it. I rescued my min pin chihuahua mix at 5 months old and because of her size and the throat problems chihuahuas can have, I didn’t want to put a leash on her. Because of the way her chest is shaped, every harness I purchased was too big around the neck and moved around which annoyed her and made her dislike them. She would run away from me every time she saw me pick it up. This one was perfect! And easy! She steps into it, I velcro and clip it, and we’re off. I like it so much that she’s now 14 months and I’m moving up to a medium to give her a little wiggle room. The attached picture was taken in November and you can see it fit her perfectly!

TwinkleBelles has a bad habit of pulling me down the street with her little 5 pound body...makes for a rather unpleasant "walk". She also has an umbilical hernia so I'm cautious about how she over exherts herself. I've gone through more harnesses and vests than you can believe and FINALLY found this one. We LOVE it sooooo much that I'm getting a second one to keep in the car so one is always handy. It doesn't tug hard on her neck or tummy nor does it have all the hardware that matts up the fine long hair of a Maltese. Michelle at Chewy helped me with sizing and the XS is just perfect for my little 5 lb. Maltese. The product runs large. The S was WAY too big for her though her measurements worked for a S, the XS is just right. Thanks Chewy (l*v*l)

Love the design!

I bought this for my miniature pinscher and following the size guide given it says to get a small. I did. I feel like she may be a little smaller then average though

I bought this for my miniature pinscher and following the size guide given it says to get a small. I did. I feel like she may be a little smaller then average though because it is slightly big. I bought it so I could hook her up to the booster seat I purchased as well and it does it’s job! Not sure if I feel comfortable taking her for a walk with it but we will try it out around the neighborhood. If you’re trying to pick the right size based on what size guide given, I’d say if your dog is slightly smaller than average it will be a little loose.
