We have a dachshund mix that is about 22 inches long. Not only does he like to burrow under blankets and such, but he is also very anxious and tends to hide in weird places (under furniture, in closets, etc.) This is usually not a big deal, however, he also suffers from occasional seizures. After a seizure, he tries to hide away for a while, and it always worries me because I want to be able to keep an eye on him. We thought a bed like this would be a perfect solution, but spent literally months looking in person and online for one large enough. Most reviews seem to be for small/toy breeds, so we didn't think he would fit. However, this bed wound up being perfect! He can curl up inside very comfortably, and he usually sleeps in a "donut," so he loves it. If he does stretch out, only his head sticks out, but I think he could still technically fit if he really wanted to. He never took to a "normal" dog bed, but he adores this thing so much. He is four years old, and this is the first time he's comfortably napped somewhere other than in my bed. I know this is a long review, but I really can't say enough how happy we are with this purchase. It's high quality, seems comfortable with the cushion on the bottom, and even (somewhat) collapses which is great for travel. Our boy is almost the exact same size as our roommate's corgi, so I think even a dog of that size could fit comfortably - if they aren't too fluffy. :)

I have to leave my fur baby at a kitty hotel for a week. She’s stayed before but this time I wanted her to have a cozy place with all the scents of home to hide out and sleep. Spent a few hours searching because she’s a decent sized kitty at 15lbs, so I wanted cozy yet big enough to stretch. This XL dome is perfect! I’ve included a photo to help others with sizing. She loved it and the soft pillow it comes with as soon as I unpacked it, which is a huge relief because she can be kinda skiddish and picky (she actually warns me with a slow bite if a try to touch her while she’s in it). For ultimate hideout capability, I can throw a blanket on top. Oh and the dome does have little non-skid dots on the bottom, plus it’s very nice quality that looks classy to leave out on wood floors, etc.
