I ordered these stairs for my new blind rescue kitten Stevie who I recently adopted from St Thomas USVI and had transported to Boston Massachusetts. He has been over looked because of his disability. These steps have been so helpful for my little guy to help him climb up on to my bed. He is such a little cuddle bug and loves to sleep with his new forever mommy. He has mastered them very quickly and can now get up and down with ease. Thank you chewy for carrying such wondering products. It’s the little things that make all the difference.
UNSTABLE FOR PETS OVER ~8 lbs
This is advertised as being for "Large" dogs but (while declining from our bed) our 40lb French Bulldog put one foot on the top tread and the lightweight foam stairs
This is advertised as being for "Large" dogs but (while declining from our bed) our 40lb French Bulldog put one foot on the top tread and the lightweight foam stairs tilted immediately. I had to catch him from falling. The foam is extremely light (nowhere near as dense as I'd suspected given the visual of a human foot standing on it) and it can't support torsional weight -- in other words, it tips right over on its side when even moderate weight is applied on the top stairs. The 8lb limit is my guesstimate. I guess it could work for a small dog that doesn't have a very long body. Also, the treads are very shallow and the grade very steep so there's no room for error on descent. I don't normally write product reviews but I'd hate to see someone's pet get hurt using this. I'm afraid it's just of very poor design and potentially (definitely in our case) dangerous.

I was looking for stairs that my toy yorkie could use to get on and off my bed. For reference he is 2.5 pounds. He is able to use these stairs comfortably and my 5 pound yorkie uses them too when he wants to. The steps aren’t too steep. They will even sleep on them. The fabric and color is as described. I’m very pleased with them.

Our cat is 19, and it's difficult for him to jump on and off the bed. We had a footstool to help, but even with that we could tell that he was having pain when he hit the floor. These foam steps have been a godsend -- worth every penny. He loves them so much and learned to use them instead of plunging to the hard floor in one day.

My cat is 16 1/2 and starting to have trouble pulling herself up on my very high bed. I got these stairs, and although it took her some time to understand what is was, it is not her "go to" to get on and off the bed. I love that I've made it more comfortable for her and she's not having to put holes in sheets to grab onto. She can jump, but not as high anymore. It has made her life so much better, as she can continue to go everywhere she always has.

I have a 95lb boxer and I use this step to help him in and out of my SUV. (For reference, I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee- the back doors do not open wide and the seats are high off the ground) I do stack the steps as displayed in the photo, rather I leave it unzipped and use it as a flat cushion to aid in giving him some extra height to step on and step down from the vehicle. The cushion in the steps is super firm and supports his weight. Highly recommend for this use with a larger dog.
