Benebones are a wonderful find for our mini-Australian Shepherd. She obsessively chews on the bone for up to 30 minutes at a time. The texture of the bone is perfect - Cassidy can chew off a tiny bit of the bone but the thing does not fall apart - last for weeks, which is super rare for her. Only mistake - we bought this size, Medium, which is too big. She's 25 lbs and needs Benebone size Small in order to get a good grip on the bone. Awesome find! Great product.

My 85 pound German Shepard puppy loves this toy! He has had it for 3 months & plays with this quite often. He is very tough on his toys and this is so far indestructible. The great part is he plays by himself with it~ throwing it around and pouncing on it and then he will chew it for about 20 minutes until he tires himself out and falls asleep with it in his mouth! So fun for him.

Probably one of the best ones I have gotten. They grabbed it and chowed down for at least an hour. I got the largest size, as both my medium sized dogs are big time chewers. These benebones seem to hold up and they like the taste. I will definitely be grabbing these again when they wear out.

Our dog tested the Benebone Tripe Bone tough dog chew toy. It is well made and sturdy, with a firm, slightly heavy feel. I did not put any treats or food in the ends, but there is a space to do so. She loved it! It kept her busy and quiet. Our dog is a female boxer-heeler mix approximately two years old and weighing about 50 pounds. I would describe her as a focused, heavy and steady chewer. It has a soft center. After about 30-45 the end was frayed and flaking off. If your dog is a slight chewer and only tends to chew for a few minutes at a time, this might work for you.

We spiral thru Benebones bc both dogs are serious chewers, neither needs extra calories,they are safe and durable AND they have a recycling program through terracycle (though its being discontinued?) Originally thought this would be a miss as they rarely veer from their chicken wishbone, salmon skeleton behavior but I was wrong. They actively fight for this and I had to put it up until could get another as they dony share nicely. Now we have a graveyard of them. I wish they would bring the recycling option back as I take them away once they get too chewed. they dont splinter like others but they can get quite sharp on the ends so I always monitor their use

So, my dog did actually love this. She's a pittie power chewer, and it kept her busy for hours. However, sharp little pieces of what is essentially plastic began breaking off, and the "bone" itself became sharp. Not only did it cut her mouth, but she swallowed some sharp pieces, too, which caused bleeding for several days afterward each time she went to the bathroom. So, although she did indeed enjoy it, I can't recommend it for dogs with strong jaws. It also made me think about what she's really chewing on, which is basically chemically flavored plastic, and that's not what I want her ingesting.
