Hello. Is the size of the package 7x7, or the size of the toy? Wondering how big the actual toys are to see if they are too small for my new puppy. thanks!

Answer by ChewyAug 18, 2019
Both the puppy chew toys are 3.8 x 2.8 inches and weigh 2.8 ounces.

Are the puppy/tiny Benebones any softer than the adult Benebones?

Answer by ChewyJul 27, 2022
The Benebone Puppy Chews are a tad bit softer than the regular Benebones and made for pups that don’t have all their adult teeth.

Is the wishbone just to chew or is it edible? It just arrived & I gave it to my 8.5 pound chihuahua-terrier mix and he's already got a small shred pulled up. Wondering if that's supposed to happen or if I should take it away?

Answer by ChewyNov 06, 2019
These toys are made to chew and chomp, but they are not edible.

At what age should I switch her puppy benebone to the adult version? My frenchie loves hers but now she has her adult teeth. I was wondering if I should switch to the adult bone but she's only 6 months old.

Answer by ChewySep 19, 2020
Small breeds generally become adult at around 9-12 months old, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds about 12-16 months.

Ok so I ordered these because my 3 mos lab puppy is always trying to steal the full sized benebones, and I wanted to have a softer option for him. I didn't really pay attention to the note that the weight limit is 15lbs, which is probably my fault but THEY ARE SO SMALL. I offered them to a friend who has an 18lb dog and they were even too small for her!!! I am a huge fan of benebone and was super excited for their puppy line, but these are only for small/toy breed puppies. (Photo w/ tennis ball for size reference)

I’m not a person to write too many reviews but this is a must . My dog was chewing on random things around the house but once I bought this it has helped out mayor with his teething and he takes it everywhere he goes . I will be buying more of these as he uses them up . Oh and they last a while too (:

Not just for puppies

I've bought these chews for several years and both our Jack Russells love them. One is an aggressive chewer and the other isn't; but the puppy chews are enjoyed for over a month before I have to throw them away. I've bought other chews but neither dog will chew on them for very long.

My smaller dog does better with this size and the softness of these, compared to the regular Benebones. When we adopted her from the shelter they had these for her to chew on but in the larger size. She is 2 yrs old now but I think she prefers these. I keep one in her crate and she will go and get it out and just settle down for a chew fest outside. Just because she likes it.

My frenchies are obsessed with these

My dogs are adults but I give them these beat they are a little softer so they don’t wear their teeth down. They are frenchies (3) and seem to chew constantly

My dogs are adults but I give them these beat they are a little softer so they don’t wear their teeth down. They are frenchies (3) and seem to chew constantly. My first frenchie we used the regular Nyla bones and by age 7 she barely had any back teeth left they were worn down so much. I only wish we could buy the figure 8 bone separately because that’s the only one they want. Even though they chew constantly on these as adults they still last a long time. I throw them away when they get to a size small enough to swallow / choke on.

Puppy loves/hates this.

I’m giving this 4 stars because my 4 month old Pug is teething and loves to chew on this. I’m not so sure the flavor matters. He just likes that it’s hard and feels

I’m giving this 4 stars because my 4 month old Pug is teething and loves to chew on this. I’m not so sure the flavor matters. He just likes that it’s hard and feels good on his gums. He’ll chew anything to get that feeling. It’s not getting 5 stars because it’s shaped the way it is to be easy for the pup to hold, but the puppy size doesn’t seem to work in that aspect. The gap between the two sides part is too small to fit his paw into, and it’s very smooth and therefore very slippery, even on carpet. It slides away as he’s chewing on it and it seems to frustrate him. He has figured out that if he gets it against something it will stay put for him for a while, but then he adjusts his chewing position and it slides away again. So he loves to chew it, but gets annoyed and abandons it after a few minutes.

lifesaver!

Our frenchie loves them! They have been great for her teething. We bought many teething toys and the benebones are all she wants.

Puppy loves

The Y bone my puppy loves. The other one is untouched. Definitely needed for little puppies to get their chewing time in.
