Thick, mattress-like

Most dog beds I've bought are kind of flat and don't offer much support. This bed is nice and firm, I can step on it without feeling the floor underneath. I bought it because I was looking for a waterproof bed after our younger dog had an accident on his bed, but my older dog really took to this. It's a little smaller than I thought - our dogs are 40lbs and 50lbs, and I'd normally buy them size medium beds, but looking at the dimensions of these I opted for the size large, and was glad I did. Anything smaller would be too small.

this bed is NOT waterproof!!

first, this bed is not waterproof! my senior dog has incontinence and when i took off the cover to wash it, the inside inserts are yellowed and reek of urine. this

first, this bed is not waterproof! my senior dog has incontinence and when i took off the cover to wash it, the inside inserts are yellowed and reek of urine. this is a real bummer because my dog absolutely LOVES this bed! it is soft, plush, cozy, and very thick! it’s great quality. it’s been my favorite bed purchase over the last 10 years. so if waterproofing isn’t an absolutely must for you, i say this is 10/10 worth it! if you need waterproofing - SKIP THIS ONE!

The cover isn't removable

The only pro I have now is that my dog loves it. Cons-it develops low/flat spots pretty quickly. I assumed I could fluff the padding up again when i took it apart

The only pro I have now is that my dog loves it. Cons-it develops low/flat spots pretty quickly. I assumed I could fluff the padding up again when i took it apart to wash it. That leads to my biggest complaint and frustration-the cover isn't removable. The bed I got is built pretty much exactly opposite of the pictures showing cover removal, the opening to pull the 3 inner pads out is covered by the bed's cover on the front. It's all permanent stitched seams so I can't get the inner pads out without damaging the cover. Huge design flaw and makes the bed almost worthless if you can't clean it well. I've had to resort to using my carpet shampooer which is a giant pain compared to just throwing it in the washer.

My dog loves this bed. He never gets on the couch now. Definitely go up a size and ignore the sizing for weight. My dog is not an XL dog as listed on the sizing,

My dog loves this bed. He never gets on the couch now. Definitely go up a size and ignore the sizing for weight. My dog is not an XL dog as listed on the sizing, but the XL bed fits him perfectly. The L would have been too small, even with him curled up. Great bed and great price when on sale.

Very fluffy and comfortable. The material is very soft and my dog isn’t able to get the cover off the bed. I may have gotten a bed that is too big for my dog but we are both able to lay on it. Very comfortable. However, my dog either doesn’t like to lay on it often or doesn’t understand it’s her bed. She prefers floor.

Accurate dimensions for the medium. Beige color true to picture. Fluffed up nice and firm after 24 hours. Most importantly, the kid settled right in. His measurements are 32” head to tail, and 25” at the shoulder and he weighs about 50ish lbs. He fits perfectly on the medium (smallest size available). Havent had to test the waterproof feature yet, and I hope I don’t have to, but it doesn’t make the bed noisy or crunchy or anything. May be the best bed he’s ever had.

I got this dog bed for my two chocolate labs and they love it. It’s the perfect size with plenty of extra room - they can even fit on it together (see pics). It’s sturdy and has held its shape fairly well, though you can tell in the front it has lost some height from regular use. I got the X-Large for reference.
