The higher sides are what my cat seems to like - he does not curl up in the center but props himself against the sides. The design of the pet bed isn't my first choice. I didn't notice that the sides and pillow were tufted. I ordered the camel and cream bed and the colors are not muted but bold. Bed sort of sticks out in the room.

My kitty loves her new bed! It is a nice size and she curls up in it every night. It might get a bit warm in summer, but if so I plan to put a folded bamboo sheet in it to keep cooler. It is cushy and comfy. I recommend it for a cat or small dog!

My cats literally fight over this bed, that's how much they love it. A size small is perfect for our purposes -- it fits the larger 12-pound cat as well as the bonded care simultaneously (8 & 10 pounds). The other day, my recently-post-op cat had explosive diarrhea that stained this pale-colored bed in multiple spots. After spot-cleaning the bed and running it through the washing machine/dryer, it came out looking as good as new -- I was equal parts shocked and impressed.

The product doesn't look like the advertisement. The bottom is not a cushion at all. There is barely any filling and when you put it on the floor you can easily feel the hard floor underneath. It needs at minimum double the stuffing. Had to return.
