BARK: From The Makers Of BarkBox

BARK is a dog-obsessed company, devoted to one goal: making dogs happy. They began in 2011 with BarkBox, the monthly subscription of one-of-a-kind toys and treats. Since then, they’ve served more than 6.5 million pups (and their people), taking all they have learned and expanding it into everything else dogs love, need, and deserve. At BARK, dog happiness is serious business.

The Leader In Dog Toy Safety

When BARK learned there were no dog toy safety standards, they took action. First, they built their own Dog Toy Safety Lab. Every BARK toy undergoes 20 tests and a 45-point inspection to ensure they can handle every playstyle. They are also leading a group of the largest pet product manufacturers to develop international safety standards and guarantee all dog products maintain BARK-level quality and safety.

Tough Toys For Dogs Who Play Harder

Some dogs demand more from their toys. That’s why BARK created Super Chewer — ultra-durable toys for pups who play harder and chew longer. These nearly indestructible toys are made with tough materials like ballistic nylon and natural rubber. Every toy includes innovative features like gnaw-friendly textures and wacky bounces, so your dog stays engaged and challenged for as long as he wants.

Toys For Every Dog And Every Playstyle

Ask any dog expert (or any dog) — it’s important for dogs to play every day. The makers of BARK toys spend a lot of time studying how they play, gaining insights from their in-house vet and canine behaviorist as well as their millions of monthly customers. With this knowledge, they create fun, rewarding toys that are designed for every unique playstyle and that strengthen the bond between pups and their people.

About BARK

BARK is a company that wants to make dogs as happy as they make us. But they’re also a bunch of dog people just like you—people who have 37 nicknames for their pup, a camera roll that’s 90% dog photos, and who say “Bless you!” whenever their pup sneezes. They believe dogs deserve the best, and that’s what they hope to give every pup and person in the BARK pack — the best toys, the best snacks, the best everything.

Our English Staffy generally shreds any toy within minutes, but this toy is a game changer! After two weeks of daily play, this little guy is still functional! Our dog loves the texture, the fur covering is a definite bonus! He loves the squeak, and the shape of the toy also makes it more fun to fetch than a typical round ball. Genuinely, expect hours of fun with this toy! Thank you Chewy!

Got this for my big guy for Christmas. The destroyed it but loved it. I threw away any pieces he broke off. I must have missed one. Just got him home from an obstruction removal surgery and over $8000 later. He may still need to go back to the hospital. A piece of this toy was lodged in his intestines, creating a hole. He had to have 3”-4” of his intestine removed. Not for a super chewer!

Sturdiness on the inside, plush exterior not so much

Samson was very excited Christmas morning to receive his new toy but he had relieved the bunny of its plush fur within 10-15 minutes. Based on first impressions I thought the fur exterior would’ve lasted a lot longer. He fully chewed off the rubber ears in about an hour but the thick rubber body base is large and solid enough to where Samson should enjoy what remains of this toy for several months.

Good, but not great for true Super Chewers

I had very high hopes for this toy based on the reviews. My Super Chewer Rhodesian Ridgeback removed the ears from this toy (similar material to a Kong) completely within 10 minutes of presenting it. He still loves playing with the earless toy. It’s been about a day now, so we’ll see what happens. For true super chewers, this definitely is not indestructible.

Did not work as intended

I thought this would be great for our pup who loves to tear open her stuffed toys at the seams. They always last a day and then we are picking up fluff non-stop. So I thought, great, she can rip this one at the seams and be rewarded with a new hard toy that stands up to her teeth. Instead, she demolished the ears completely in about an hour and ended up throwing up after chewing them to tiny bits. So clearly the toy inside is not actually sufficient for a "super chewer."

Within minutes, the furry skin was chewed and discarded. The next day, the tip of the ear was chewed off. I had high hopes for this "super chewer" toy. I got 4 toys in a "buy 3 get the 4th free" promo. So far, 2 have failed. Chewy said they wouldn't do anything about the first one to fail because it was the "free" one. I may give up and go to a subscription service with as much as I'm wasting here. Any recommendations?

The ears were enticing

My 17 month old golden loves chasing rabbits and was quite taken with hare raider's ears, so much so that she didn't try to rip off the outer covering for many hours

This is one of our dogs’ favorite toys. All of our pups are strong chewers, but they love stuffed toys. This is the best of both worlds, with a soft exterior, and a durable interior that will last us, at least, a few weeks. Size is perfect for any dog between 45 and 100 lbs, and I don’t worry about them choking or pulling off tiny pieces of the rubber.

My pup loves soft type toys with a squeaker, he also loves toys with a good chew texture. This is a good blend of both. He hasn't quit gotten the exterior off yet, though totoro is missing an eye currently and the ears and a bit chewed down. For having this for over 2 weeks it is withstanding very well.
