This is the same carpet cleaner from 20 years ago. I recognized the smell instantly. I like it because it's nostalgic. I haven't used one since then probably. It did help with the dog smells, but it is very fragranced. My boyfriend hated the smell. Because dogs have such sensitive noses, I would really prefer something without added fragrance. I don't think it's healthy for pets. My dog is small so she's closer to the carpet. I used this because she likes to run under the bed and stinks it up. It did help the smell, but might just try normal baking soda next time.

I have been using this product for years and I continue to be impressed. With three cats, an impressive amount of litter and hair accumulates on our carpet. This deodorizer leaves the carpet with a light, clean smell for days. It is not overbearing and it is nice to walk into a room and get a whiff of Febreeze’d air. I also believe it stands by its promise of helping to pick up more dirt - the attached picture is what it helped pick up from about 700 square feet of carpet with a week between vacuums! So much dirt, hair, and dust gone! I highly recommend this product for any home with carpet - with or without pets!

I have a large bloodhound. Luckily, she doesn’t come with the hound smell, but she’s still a dog who creates dander. I vacuum once a week and every other week I use this powder. If you have guests coming over, do this right before and you won’t have a dog smell! The fresh smell will last three days or so. You can also lightly sprinkle this on carpets if you need a quick fix. And I mean lightly! The smell is enough to take over the whole 2bed apartment! I am highly sensitive to strong odors, and this doesn’t give me a headache. So if you are looking for something that’s strong, but not overbearing, I would recommend this powder with a LIGHT hand! Works great!

I originally got this for the sole purpose of keeping the rugs “fresh” after my dogs peed on it (normally I would use regular baking soda but I wanted to try something new) - I tried it on my rug once and never did it ever again. The smell was so strong it irritated my sinuses. The scent is like a super strong baby powder with floraly notes., which makes for a disaster if you’re sensitive to strong smells. I had to get a wet vac to get most of the smell out of the rug. I almost threw it away but don’t like to waste. Since my dogs senior he has a pee pad at home as he goes to the bathroom more frequently now. And if your dog is anything like mine, their pee pee has a strong scent and it gets worse in the summer due to the heat and humidity. And he normally goes in the middle of the night so I won’t see/clean it until I wake up. The stench can be strong. I now sprinkle this powder under his pee pad/on top of the pee mat in order to mask the scent of the urine. And it works! I’m glad I didn’t toss this product after all!!!

The first batch of my litter box deodorizer were damaged eack box inside smashed or opened a mess..so you sent me more for free..that one was even worse all of them

I've never had these problems in all the years I've ordered so who ever is packing these items needs to know.

Use as a Powder to soak up pee
You know how janitorial staff in elementary school used tose powders to soak up and eliminate the vomit odors? I use this in the same way but for areas that my dogs
You know how janitorial staff in elementary school used tose powders to soak up and eliminate the vomit odors? I use this in the same way but for areas that my dogs have accidentally peed on (urinated accidentally off the pee pads *misses a spot etc* or the pee runs out the pad). It works! I use it to soak ip the pee instead of spreading the gross smell of pee with a cloth etc. I then pick up the consumed powder of dog pee with a broom and dust pan and mop as usual. I always use a new, clean rag to mop and never use the same one to prevent the smell of dog pee from spreading but essentially, this is my tool before the big clean up and it works.

I took one star off because FedEx destroyed the box, and if it wasn’t for Chewy wrapping it in plastic my cats treats would be no good,the treats container was busted as well. Other than that carpet fresh is awesome and I definitely recommend to everyone with carpets.

This worked wonders Tip: I put some down before I went to bed and let it sit over night. The strong smell of the powder itself had dissipated a bit, but it soaked up all the bad odors leaving a fresh smell. I highly recommend this. Will purchase again.
